Mtek Started a new thread Motostuff 280mm front disk

Received day before yesterday, nice weight savings but approx 1/4 lb lighter than a Braking 270. I was hoping for more, as they suggested it's about 1 lb lighter than the "leading brand". I'm going out Sunday to use it for the first time, always used a 270 with no issue so I'm hoping not to notice a change. Front...

Black logo is what they sent me, it was from Renton as I live just south of them. I'm not sure about the diff color logo. Yes, back off rebound, which is increasing the dampening, apologies for my wording I cant give you a definitive difference between the Ti and the steel as the shock is diff than my stock...

1.5 lbs saved for my RMZ, but this is going A kit too...never put a Ti on the stock to weigh. Ti spring, same RCS with spacers. I backed off rebound, you will find it is more livelier.

Mtek Added a reply to who has tried the Think Technology Seat Foam?

Cust service was lacking when I purchased, guy who owns think did always pick up the phone and was really enthusiastic and nice to talk to, but def over promised on del times. The foam does break in, gets softer. It still is firmer than stock, but I'm fine with it. The foam wears really really well, I don't see...

Personally, I think Dungey looked better on it too. Millsaps was almost transformed on yellow, hope he does well this year on green. I think all 5 colors are capable, some could do just as well in any of them, and some are just more particular.

The interview he said the KTMs have the power, but it's about putting it to the ground and Suzuki does it better.

One of the most forthright interviews I have seen. He was very open about not having confidence in the KTM. The guy kid seems genuinely excited about the Suzuki and RCH. He's going to kill it in 15.
Did anyone else think TS was running a 20" front wheel? Looks like he changed it as it's different in diff pics, even diff color rims, but there are a few pics where the front wheel/tire looks smaller in diameter and wider. The pic on the home page here is one of the few I am referencing.
15% more power? R and D is not about hp anymore in the premier class, it's about traction. Launch control, different engine maps, traction control, etc are starting to show up on production bikes. Thumpers will always have the advantage here. I ride a 450 for track, and do have a ktm 300 hunny for off road. The advantage the...

I got rid of the kashima upper tubes, hard anodized and it's very durable.

Mtek Added a reply to Why are 2 stroke motors not rubber mounted?

9/23/2014 3:56pm
Using carbon fiber engine hangers/mounts could help, Desalle uses them. They wouldn't cut down as much as rubber mounted, but if anyone has ever ridden a carbon bike vs an aluminum one, the diff is noticeable with harshness.

Very pleased with their service, they made just what I wanted and incorporated the military appreciation them from Stewarts Zook in SD. Just wanted to say they are great, had them in about a week. Solid company, excellent communication and delivery.
