Finally finished the 200MC and I added e start. Looks and runs great. Also got cone valve forks, ohlins shock and vortex X10 ignition to finish it off

Awesome job and thanks for info it has helped me with mine so far I’m building a 2021 gas gas into a 200sx and doing a full engine rebuild using a 2001 exc engine and a 2013 set of cases so I can add electric start. It’s becoming a money pit so I hope it’s worth it. I would not have gone this far but after riding a 200 in a 1999 frame recently I was hooked the 200 engine is amazing I can’t believe they stopped it.

Greased swingarm and shock bearings, antiseized chain adj bolts, cleaned up the brake pin and put on some good used OEM Brembo pads. Took that heavy ass rusted Oring chain off, sprockets have like no time so I’m just gonna run a cheap chain til it all wears out. Cleaned the Airbox and reassembled. Came apart really easy and went back together even easier. Didn’t have to beat my head against the wall once. Bike is really tight all around, just weathered. Can’t wait to fire it up.

Of the three failures that we've had in the past three years of professional racing, well, four failures if you count Benek ghost riding his bike off of a triple, all of them were caused by titanium bolts breaking in a crash. None of them have been a failure of the clamps, bar mounts or anything else. Marchbanks and Benek both crashed and broke the bar mount bolts. $18 worth of bolts later, they were up and running again. Alves and Ripper both had the clamps break off because the stem clamp bolt broke. This is a KTM design problem...

There is/was a really nicely built modern KTM 250f with a 200 motor on UK eBay recently, hell of a combo. Awesome to see so many being pieced together here, credit to all of you, and another vote / hope and dream for a modern tc200 or 200sx.
