ClubMX ran the '23 450 front end on JMarts 250 a little bit in preseason. I personally thought it looked terrible. It looks fine on the '23 450 as it flows with the rest of the bike. But I personally am not a fan of how it looks on the prior gen 4strokes. They look good as-is. As far as the 2strokes, I think it could work on on those bikes, since it has a similar, smoother look to the bodywork, similar to the new 450 (assuming you are talking about a 22-23 2stroke.) I'd have to see it before...

$6.99 for a can of high temp enamel spray paint makes this cover with over 120 hours on it look brand new. Clutch covers are cool though 👍

Is that MotoSeat? The logo looks like it but I haven't seen them offer for this bike yet and the rib pattern isn't like what I'm used to.

Clutch cover is my first go-to on a new bike to maximize resale value. I have had Hinson on my last 2 Kawis but got GYTRs on all of my YZ smokers before that. Hinson and GYTR are both insanely resistant to wear that you normally see on stock covers. The second 2023 450 in this thread I've noticed with...

Just a heads up, Hinson has clutch covers now. Had my dealer call direct to get one. They weren’t listed on their site yet. So much better looking.

Disappointed in the Guts seat foam. Looking at both of them back to front, next to one another, stock foam looks even flatter than the Guts foam. I'm a bit bummed that I ordered it before knowing better. I asked Keefer on twitter and was told it would be better than stock. I'm literally gonna put my new Guts cover...

That's EXACTLY what I said about potentially becoming a Yamaha guy. IF they got skinnier... Well... They did, so I bought the first one that showed up that was available. I took kept my previous bike on hand (2021crf450rwe) Incase I hated the yam.. well, Hondas being prepped for sale.

Yeah I agree with that general sentiment too. The YZ had a lot of good things going for it, not the least of which is being able to remap the motor with your phone. I'd been telling myself for years (since before my last two KX450s I was on YZ smokers), if they ever made the 450 skinny and lighter...

You're missing out. (Ha..ha) Not "sport changing" but I believe any positive moves are elevating the game. This bike is very positive baring any catastrophic engine failure.. excited to take her for another indoor rip this weekend.. even tho I'm sore as hell from my first ride since Sept lol..

I'm skeptical as well until I ride mine. Still too wet here, even warm days right now just makes bigger puddles of melted snow. So no immediate plans yet. I kept my 21 KX450 just in case I don't like the YZ better. Just gonna sell whatever bike I like less. It's a risk but I didn't want to commit...

Finally got the new bike together and went for the initial ride. The bottom end is very smooth and the mid range comes on strong and pulls forever. I never felt the nervousness others speak of, but we have slower, deeper tracks than the west coast. I set my fork height at 5mm with a sag of 100mm and will run that until i can test a faster track in a couple of weeks.

Coming from my 21 WE, today was a success on the new big blue. Comfortable right away. It was a pretty tight indoor track, couple good seat bounce booters, decent little whoops. Set sag at 104 and rode it. Left forks stock height due to being such a tight track. Stock map, no light on. Couple corners I was getting a little knifing. Springs are soft at my current 225 fat ass self, but bottoming resistance was great. Was able to confidentiality enter whoops as fast as my +30 brain would allow with no whacky stuff happened while skimming. Local...

Man, I just started mine for the first time for a heat cycle. It sounds meaner than my yosh piped Honda. Sounds like it's damn turboed too lol..

I fell in love with this bike when I got to test it in late november last year and after talking to just about every yamaha dealer in Europe for the past 2 months, I finally found one of these unicorns. I'm 24 and skill wise somewhat above the average weekend warrior, yet not fast enough to actually become a pro. I qualified for an ADAC once, but that's about it. Coming off a 21 KXF 450 with KYB A-Kit. The nervousness everybody is talking about is certainly there. When letting off the gas going into a corner or coming...

My bike started working again before I swapped the sensor, but I replaced it anyway. Also I went through every plug and cleaned/applied dielectric grease. My main ecu plug had water in it which was probably my main issue. The new ecu is under the battery near the mud flap. I need to watch where I spray the hose.

I find the cornering a big improvement. A lot of the negatives people are stating here and elsewhere I have not found. Each to their own, you need to ride it and decide for yourself. Weight wise, much lighter feeling. Ergo's another big improvement. I have not found any instability issues as yet, but I have not ridden the bike on a high speed track yet, only fairly tight tracks. For me it is a winner.
