I’m pretty sure I will end up keeping this bike and going the dual sport route with it. I have a new yz250x for Offroad/trails. It’s basically stock and does just fine on a mx track like Glen Helen.

I've been slacking too, look when I started this thread!!! I have my 265cc engine built. I took the 280cc to TAGMX to have them build it and do a lot of Cerakoting. It was fun to build the first engine and learn, but I was ready to pay someone to make sure they do it right. I should have some major progress in August. I'll never be able to sell these things for what I put into them, but I really think they will be great bikes and more than enough for me. It's been a fun build for...

It’s the 265 kit. I’ve been slacking on the build. I have the motor in and the suspension/swing arm installed. I need to order brake rebuild kits and get busy.

Thanks I will. So far just been buying OEM parts from Rocky Mountain. I’ve pretty much got everything, just need to rebuild the brake calipers and master cylinders, get new lines and get tires and new plastics.

I’m excited to see you finish your Honda. I’m in the process of building a 2004 myself. Hotcams big bore kit, yoshimura exhaust, Noleen suspension. Doing a little when I get time. Good luck on your build.

I've done BPC 157 with minor tears and strains. Worth every penny. No experience with PRP.

He should lose points and 4th in the standings. Even if we disregard the probation... That was pure bs. You can clearly see some riders scared to pass him because of the shit he pulls. That could have easily resulted in a broken femur or similar for Mookie.

Was Barcia's probation only for 2022? So no matter his actions at the finale, it wouldn't impact his 2023 season? Because this dude needs to learn a good lesson. I'm all for rubbing elbows, but head on blows like that are just dangerous and dumb. "I race for a living". Yea dude, then race. This probably won't be the popular opinion but I hope the powers to be give him a 3 race suspension.

More metallic colors can be achieved with powder coating. Everything I've done with cerakote so far is only slightly glossy. I would say if you want shinier or metallic colors go with powder.

Another thing on Cerakote, there are two different types. Bake on, and air dry. Anything with extended UV exposure should use Air dry! Anyone can argue with me but this is what I was told by a Cerakote rep at SEMA Show. Air dry is just as strong as bake on, but it’s more UV Resistant. Bake on will fade quickly in the sun.

mgpowell919 Started a new thread Question about cerakote.

Quick question. What is the advantage, if any on using cerakote versus powder coat on bike parts? Specifically hubs, ignition and clutch covers… I have no experience with either but am rebuilding and old bike.

Craig had a reason to be a little sour. Dude has not hit the ground this year one time that was his fault. You’d probably be a little sour as well.

Cue the defenders of this behavior and why we shouldn't "assume" the bikes are stolen and they are criminals.

mgpowell919 Added a reply to Finally bought my kid a Stacyc

Bought my son one at 4 years old.. he rode the wheels off of it. I went through two motors and a gear box. And weekly fuse replacements. Stacyc was always great with warranties. I have 2 of them in the garage not being used, he graduated to a 50sx. Great tool!!
