Yes I did race(14 years), No I wasn't very good but I had a great time and still go to every race that I can.
Love most sports but will always follow moto. Maybe one day, with the permission of 'She who must be obeyed' I'll give the vets a shot. Until then I'll enjoy my 4 sons, the sound of the surf and some good bench racing!

The future of big pay checks for riders will be all about personal sponsorship and not factory money. Sponsorship is about the agreement with the end user and not what is provided. Example; My company sponsors Surfing QLD with a 50% discount on their accomodation costs for staff and officials. Great news The Moss boys are seriously dedicated and fast. They will surprise a few more fancied riders. Matt was on it at Coolum, hopefully he'll carry that speed with him to the US. Void I'm surprised you didn't look to aftermarket for a brake pedal but I'm not surprised by the pricing. Yamaha are very good at superceding to a later model part number and therefore a bigger price. I'm not sure either but I'd guess that the money for a relative unknown in the 450 class would've been less than the 250 deal. Geico/FC or whoever they really are sure know how to build a fast bike.
