Got to throw my leg over just about everything Beta offers yesterday at a dealer demo day. The bikes are impressive and really made me smile how well they corner. The 390RR race edition was something else. Felt light like a 250f and you could rev it or lug it. Didn’t wear me out like a 450 typically does. It made me really curious about converting it to a moto only bike. I’m a track guy and trails aren’t necessarily my thing. Any thoughts or experience with this?

Picked up a 2025 YZ125X yesterday.....sort of an early 63rd birthday present to myself. Got it from Libbys Motoworld in New Haven,CT - they are excellent to do business with and always have any parts I may need. I prefer the X model because I'm more of a woods rider but do hit the track sometimes. Love the light weight and midrange power on these bikes too. I'm keeping my 2022 125X for a backup bike, and for my son to ride although I know he'll be stealing the 2025 from me when he can,😀

The TLD show bike I saw at San Diego SX still looked very prototype-y: billet parts that should be cast/forged in production, some 3D printed bits, excess brackets, etc. It will be interesting to see what the actual production bike comes with.

Don't know why you got down voted man, you're dead right lol. It won't feel like a 350, it will just feel like a slow 450 with all the same traits you are perceiving as negative. I totally understand what you're wanting, and it would be amazing if possible. Yamaha would be printing money with a YZ350.

G2 throttle tamer made a nice improvement on that bike, it smooths out the initial throttle response and gives the rider more control. You can change the power delivery quite a bit with mapping, in general changing the Fuel = Torque and Ignition = Responsiveness Even if you subtract all the Fuel and Ignition it still won't feel like a 350 due to the gearing. You'll have to go up a few teeth on the rear to get a 350 similar feel. First gear is really tall on that bike, I think in stock form you could hit 35mph in...
