Look for 84-92 93 was a total new YZ 80 and nothing will fit. I restored an 87, they didn’t change much on these bikes for years so there are lots of cheap parts out there.

I picked up a used 1988 YZ80 to play around with restoring. Problem is the engine looked wrong and it ended up a stolen YZ85 engine from a 2007. I now need an engine for the chassis.. what years will work without frame and pipe mods?? I found a 1995 complete for sale recently for a good price but don't...

Incorrect I wont name names - but a prominent helmet from Europe has additional foam placed where the impact testing is done - then the rest of the helmet has foam removed for weight - it passes the "test" and is one of the lightest helmets you can buy - but because it is missing EPS in other areas it's certainly lighter - but will fail the test if tested on those spots If this isnt' a "cheat" please explain to me what is. Any standardized test with a "set test procedure" allows a smart person to design for the...

Years ago Cycle World or similar magazine did a test on helmets and how DOT and Snell etc tests are done. Basically, everyone knows where the tests are done, and how, and they make the helmets withstand the tests in those areas. Basically its cheating as mentioned above. All I know is concussions seem to be more prevalent today than in the say Pre- Moto5 or 6 time frame. I'm not sure but I've seen guys completely destroy late 80s early 90s helmets and heads were fine. And by destroy, I mean fiberglass shards sticking out everywhere and face bars...

Agreed. Nothing will make you faster than suspension that is set up for your riding ability and conditions. I have done the 450 swap for a few good riders and built the rear shock to match. Worlds of difference. For me I can ride one gear higher over the nasty whoop sections than with the stock set up. If your considering it, stop wasting time and do it Cool

What is all involved in the KX250 Tank swap? Looks Great. I have a 1996 KX500 and my stock purple tank is leaking gas out the side behind the shroud. Just got the bike after trading my tricked out 2000 Honda TRX 400EX for it
