3/7/2024 11:58am I agree! I’ve only missed 1 RBSR. I’ve been to all rest and it was one of the most fun events to go to! Wish it would come back in lieu of SMX

3/7/2024 8:34am Not sure how you could agree on that without him having locked up the title. I guess if you're a ball gargler you might.

3/7/2024 6:49am Hey fellow Vitards. Just updating some pics of my son Logan Mortberg from RCSX. You might remember he was on the weekend warrior post for Loretta’s last year where he got 4th in Supermini. We moved up to 250s after Loretta’s. He did pretty good at Daytona. 2nd in 450b limited, 7th in 250b limited. Here’s some pics. Be easy on me!

3/7/2024 6:47am Different for me on 2T's, especially like your 2009 that is likely pre-EFI (carbureted) and minimal electronics. Critical thing on a 2-stroke of that era for me would be the frame, cases, and gearbox. The beauty of your bike is that the entire top end and crank can both be completely trashed and it's not a bank-breaker to make nice and fresh again. Even better, you can do it all in your garage with a metric socket set, a descent torque wrench and couple of inexpensive pullers (assuming buying a pre-pressed and balanced crank/rod kit).

3/7/2024 6:46am If I ever buy a used two stroke I'm basically planning on putting at least a top end in immediately. Once apart you can usually tell how its been cared for and rode

3/6/2024 10:55am How do yall look at 2 strokes without an hour meter? Ive owned a bunch of them years ago. The 2009 i just bought has a new top end, including cylinder. Runs fine, shifts fine and looks pretty good. I figured if all that checked out , i was good. Probably paid a little too much at 3k , but...

3/5/2024 6:47am Temptation got to me. Bought this 2009 KTM 150SX after work last friday. Brand new full top end with no hours. Have to put new brake pads , clutch master cylinder and probably stiffer springs before i can rip the hell out of it. Overall , its in good shape.

3/5/2024 6:43am The video description says it's a -85 CR125 model which is essentially the same bike but bit slower engine in stock form As far as my personal preference I really love to ride my 150SX when the track is not too soft

3/5/2024 6:41am Just FYI - the early 144s had a problem with the piston catching on the exhaust ports and (I believe) the piston skirt hitting the crank. Later on this was fixed. I’m also interested in a pre-2015 150SX

3/1/2024 12:49pm I traded my 23 KX250 for a 23 125 XC a couple of weeks ago. I’ have a learning curve with the FI to deal with, but that thing is so much more fun than riding the 4 banger. I had taken 12 years off of riding and when I started back with the kx250, I thought to myself, ‘I seem to remember enjoying riding more then than I do now’. Well last Saturday that enjoyment came back when I took the 125 out to the track.

3/1/2024 12:48pm Rotating mass/inertia is a much bigger deal than most riders realize. Riding something with a tiny 125cc piston has almost no impact on changing direction - you can throw a 125 around like nothing else both in corners and in the air.

3/1/2024 12:47pm Dammit! Yall got me on FB marketplace since read this thread. Found a 2009 150SX nearby with a fresh top end, plastic and tires. Going to look at it after work. May end up with it and my 250f in the garage. Just what i needed, to spend more money just before tax time. lol

3/1/2024 12:44pm My issue with Haiden is Feld allowing him in opening ceremonies. He hasn't earned the right to be included in that IMO. Maybe I'm old school, but the right to be recognized in opening ceremonies should be reserved for the top tier 450 champions like it was back in the day. But, I know why Feld allows it and its because he's marketable for them. Same reason the NFL is obsessed with Taylor Swift all of a sudden.
