jamesdry Started a new thread Bike builds on older 2 strokes but not KTM?
10/8/2019 8:41am Hey everyone, Been looking at older 2 stroke builds (2001-2007) recently and cant find any older KTM 125's getting rebuilt. So my question is why is everyone rebuilding the cr125, yz125 and rm125 but not the KTM 125's. I own a 04 125SX and was looking to see what people have done to that specific bike for ideas for mine...

jamesdry Started a new thread Leaking clutch slave (04 KTM 125sx)
2/2/2019 7:57pm As the title says the magura hydraulic slave clutch on my 04 KTM 125sx is leaking. I noticed the problem when my bike was parked in the shed and saw a small patch of oil on the ground. I simply thought this was just an old gasket for the clutch slave which I bought and replaced and still noticed the...

7/31/2018 11:31am I feel like in the mx community these days everyone has the newest and best bike, making me feel like I myself need a newer bike. Realistically are older bikes (early 2000’s) specifically 2strokes bad compared to new bikes. I have a 04 KTM 125SX and I kinda feel like the odd one out at the mx track as my...

7/30/2018 5:27pm Thanks, ill just adjust the rebound then. Now that i think of it logically that would be the cause. The front forks have a small leak however after using a plastic shim they have virtually stopped leaking but leak more after a ride. Im going to look into getting the whole suspension rebuilt as they have other small issues.

7/30/2018 5:53am That is one badass bike! In 1995 I had a 1980 CR80 that was completely restored. I was embarrassed by it and longed for a newer bike, boy what I wouldn't give to have that old bike now. It was absolutely beautiful.

7/30/2018 3:51am Its an 04 KTM 125SX, Not too sure what settings hence why i made this post. I dont really wanna play with it too much as it is very forgiving at the moment if i case or something like that. I would like to prevent what is happening but dont want to stuff the settings around so if i case...
jamesdry Started a new thread Dirtbike bounces after landing
7/30/2018 1:23am Hey everyone, After landing a jump (clearing it) my bike seems to bounce (not that much) but looks really unprofessional in a sense even when clearing a jump. Anyone have any advice so i can set my suspension up so it does not do this while being predictable and not unsafe. Thanks!

7/27/2018 4:16pm Thanks for the advice, I’m definitely gonna get my suspension set for my needs which is not really done yet. And it already has a fatty and shorty on it from when I bought it! I would definitely like to do some cosmetic things to it’s thats the plan.

7/27/2018 1:39am Who cares how new your bike is? As long as you have a bike and are having fun riding it, that’s all that matters. Don’t get caught up in keeping up with the jones’s. 3/4 of those guys in new bikes, with new gear and the best suspension available to the public wouldn’t be any slower on your bike. I sold my 14 yz450 in April to pick up an 05 YZ250 and it’s the best decision I’ve made so far with bikes. I’ve only ridden it twice, but I’ve had so much more fun those two times than I...

7/26/2018 9:41pm Your 2004 make look old but i guarantee its still one of the fastest 125s. When KTM switch to a linkage they had to redesign the air box which restricted space and consequently air flow. In 2008 the 125 on MXA's dyno pushed 37/38 hp wheras the 2011 only reached 34. plus ive seen guys in pro classes show up on a 2001 cr250 and smoke guys on 450s. Heck the yz250 is just a rehashed 2006 model
