Convinced the wife to put my graphics on! 
I'm not going for the OEM look or a full Replica build. Just want something that looks period correct and is fun as hell to ride. So far I am pretty stoked on how its coming along. For the amount of money I have spent it will be impossible not to enjoy this thing!

I too have been looking for the last 3-4 years. A few years ago, I looked at a pretty good 96 and did not pull the trigger, it was gone the next day, lesson learned...if it’s decent it won’t last long...the seller had it listed as a 98 model, I click on just about all ads because a lot of guys do not know what year their bikes are....

I don’t think the gas tank has ever been removed....I gave it a little wipe down & coat of WD-40 until I can dig further into it, going to pull top end for inspection, when I finish up some other projects...

After a good cleansing & fluids drain, I lay it over & use PB blaster on all the swingarrm, linkage bolts to soak a few days before teardown. Subframe had never been removed from the bike, the upper painted bolt still had all the white paint on it, first time a socket is put on it, the paint chips off....carb has some varnish...rear shock rubber bumper split. I took pipe off & looked into cylinder, stock cast piston, can still see cross hatch”s in the cylinder ..

This was on Craigslist 2 hrs south of me on Monday morning....had been for sale for at least 3-4 days..could not believe it was still available...this bike cannot have more than 6-8 hrs on it...everything stock accept the rear tire...I have been looking for a decent 93-97 for 2-3 years now....this won’t be much of a build, it’s a clean & grease job. Going to stay all original...

I honestly think it would be interesting to give Barcia a star Yamaha 250 and see where his speed is before sending him over there. I think that bike is the fastest 250f (probably ever), he’s a good sand rider, and would never turn down the chance to go. I wish we didn’t have to decide at Unadilla. I’d love to see how Barcia is with a few weeks on the 250f. We need to pick good sand riders, not just the leaders of each series. Osborne, Tomac (if he would), AC (if he would), maybe Anderson? I don’t trust...
