I forgot to mention that the mechanic said the cylinder had a "little belly" .. but nothing serious. it was like 0.001, 0.001, 0.003.. the PO didnt know how to mix gas,either, and it was running super lean. There were some slight seize marks on the side of the piston, and very very minor blow-back...

3/26/2018 9:34pm Yes sir. Gonna rent a crankcase splitter from Canadian Tire and clean/inspect the engine before dumping any more money into it. Hopefully the bottom end is just a little dirty and whatever those fragmented metals are from didn't do too much damage. Fingers crossed!

If you're riding on an MX track then you'll rarely be touching the ground other than at the start. (Unless you wipeout or need to plant your foot for some reason or another). If you're riding Enduro, touching the ground is crucial...

3/25/2018 6:46pm Body placement, technique, or suspension. Watch the vid above^ Make sure you're taking the jump in attack position, leaning forward etc etc.. one of the biggest thing people do is hammer the gas before hitting the jump. Try in a lower gear as someone else mentioned. After that you can look at your suspension.

3/25/2018 6:38pm I've heard multiple people, (including the guy at the bike shop where i got my new pilot), say that a big bore kit does literally nothing to your jetting. Follow Revzilla's recommendations: https://www.revzilla.com/assets/0000/9581/fmf_gold_series_fatty_pipe_ya… play with the air screw and move the needle if you have to.. shouldn't need more than that.

3/25/2018 6:25pm Yeah man, definitely cheaper - but the knowledge is priceless. So far I'm only 160CAD deep (mostly for the tune-up, cleaning prods and hardware). I figure once it's all said and done I'll be 700-800 total. Got the bike for $1000, so doing pretty good imo.

3/25/2018 5:52pm Hey guys, another update! Took the cylinder off (which was suuuuper hard because the piston was hella-stuck).. eventually got it out with patience and a flat head. Got the cylinder measured by a professional (2mm overbore), and he said it's virtually in circle minus a little belly in the middle (.001mm or something). Finding a cheap 2mm overbore was harder...

3/23/2018 4:07pm Just got my bore measured.. it's 56mm in circle (2mm overbore).. however i can only find stock 54mm Flex Hones (320 grit). Is it better to go under and get the stock? .. or go over? .. cause I also found a 57mm 240 grit.
