Just got my bore measured.. it's 56mm in circle (2mm overbore).. however i can only find stock 54mm Flex Hones (320 grit). Is it better to go under and get the stock? .. or go over? .. cause I also found a 57mm 240 grit.

Update:
Rocky mountain sells 52-54, and 55-57.. so I'm in the high end, but i should be good?

Is your cylinder plated or sleeved? If plated, you can do more harm than good if you go over the cylinder too much or use the incorrect hone. You can go over with some scotchbrite to clean it up.

Go with the smaller hone if you do.

It's sleeved! So the 57 should be fine?

Agreed

A Green Scotch brite pad hot soapy water and then wipe it clean with a White paper towel and WD 40 until the towel is clean. Why do you want to hone it? if it is a plated cylinder the flex hone is going to change or create a cross hatch "hopefully" if it does you have a plating issue.
