Hey guys, I've installed a Athena 144 kit on my 2014 YZ125 and am struggling with jetting. My jetting skills suck but I'm willing to learn. 1st issue is pilot, I warm up the bike and raise idle a bit with set screw then back out pilot until rpm peaks, waiting 10-30 seconds for adjustment to take effect. I have gone from the stock 40 to 30 pilot and still need the air idle screw out more than 3 turns for a highest rpm. Is it possible that the idle is set too high and therefore I'm on the needle?
Once I get this circuit dialed I will ask for advice on the others.

Quite often when you go big bore, they pull more fuel and rum rich.
Once you've leaned the pilot like you have, try leaning the needle.
Always listen for pinging.

I went back to the 40 pilot and leaned the needle, seems better. Going to play with air screw next ride.

I've heard multiple people, (including the guy at the bike shop where i got my new pilot), say that a big bore kit does literally nothing to your jetting. Follow Revzilla's recommendations: https://www.revzilla.com/assets/0000/9581/fmf_gold_series_fatty_pipe_ya…

play with the air screw and move the needle if you have to.. shouldn't need more than that.
