FourFoopty Added a reply to Help me decide which bike!
2/20/2012 1:11am The Yamaha is actually a pretty safe bet.
If you can tell that it's been well taken care of, that means a LOT...
Plus, Yamaha's are generally of a very high quality at the basic level, things like the quality of the alloys used and all of that.
The 2000 YZ's have solid geometry and are a good platform.

2/19/2012 10:52pm I know... the pink hippo wasn't in last night's race. That was the breast cancer society round.

2/19/2012 10:33pm I don't know about that because he was on a 250 in this race and he beat all the 4 stunks so badly. I mean none of them could even see him after a few laps.... except maybe the ones that had just been lapped that is....
In this race, all the 450 4 stonks looked like...

2/16/2012 2:41pm How do you figure they wouldn't qualify for a Naional when some guys most have never heard of managed to do it? And one guy we all HAVE probably heard of, Jeff Gibson, qualified at High Point last year on a borrowed bike that comes equipped with a kickstand. A 250 is plenty able to qualify and race. It's money...
FourFoopty Added a reply to Yesterdays SX tracks; Todays bikes/riders
2/15/2012 7:28pm Well, so far it seems like most people agree that the tracks of today are made up of smaller little obstacles. Do the smaller, weaker tracks of today make sense if the bikes are actually "Better" dirtbikes now??? A THUMPER HUMPER in the industry might say - [i]"We have to make the tracks tiny now with little jumps, little whoops...

2/15/2012 12:09pm Dirt Works is doing their work today with a different set of instructions.
Pro Racing is all about selling product. That isn't anything new it's always been that way, right?
The difference is that the capabilities of the equipment that's being put on the stage to "Perform" in todays shows has come down.... The bikes are heavier and don't handle...

FourFoopty Added a reply to GoPro HD: HUGE Batch From the SD SX Main Event
2/14/2012 2:02pm That's definitely not your eyes malfunctioning GHR... It's the sport malfunctioning. Everyone on TV blabbered on and on about how BIG the whoops and everything were last weekend and maybe they were big relative to the tracks of 2012. BUT, anyone with a few brain cells to rub together can plainly see that EVERYTHING about last weekend's track was TINY...

2/12/2012 10:54pm That's no YZ.... It's a Fooper.
This is the kind of YZ they need to get for him... and it wouldn't even cost them a million dollars.
JAMES NEEDS TO DUMP THE FLUMPER.... ALL HE NEEDS TO WIN IS A REAL BIKE.
JAMES NEEDS TO DUMP THE FLUMPER.... ALL HE NEEDS TO WIN IS A REAL BIKE.
FourFoopty Started a new thread James really needs a YZ250 like the one Chad had when San Diego Supercross had Big Jumps and Whoops
2/12/2012 1:07am It is SO painful to watch such a pure talent go to waste trying to ride Supercross on a bike that looks like it handles like one of those victorian claw-foot bath tubs half full of water... James Stewart on a Fooper is like a great surgeon using a spork. Check out this old race and look at how much...

FourFoopty Added a reply to MXA's KTM 250 Shootout
2/10/2012 2:25am I agree that when you watch this race, it looks like the 4 strokes were at a disadvantage. I guess maybe the AMA fell short of giving them all the help they needed at this point.
True, they had a HUGE displacement advantage 250 4 Stroke cc's vs just half of that for the 2's.
But maybe the AMA could...

2/10/2012 12:12am Here's how 125cc KTM's stack up against Double Sized Foopers.... Ryno and Sorby make the Fooper Pilots look like they're riding Donkeys in the race.
I'll get that teck info also.
