I figured after he got to follow James thru them a couple laps that he would catch onto the line he and the guys in front of them, were taking. I just dont understand why he never tried a different line.
Not to sound kooky here but wonder if Dungey ever spent much time on 2 strokes?
1. The dude said RC was the greatest supercross racer of all time.
2. RC didn't win ONE supercross in two years.
also if you pause the Izzi one at around the 1:35 mark where he looks over at lano on the triple you can see Baker up there too haha
shit's intense
so awesome
so squaring a turn wide open standing on the pegs... no biggie
Pit Row
And I remember that race. RC had this thing where he NEVER let off, it seemed like.
And yeah, his style and tenacity was just crazy. Do what ever, when ever to win.
Everyone on TV blabbered on and on about how BIG the whoops and everything were last weekend and maybe they were big relative to the tracks of 2012. BUT, anyone with a few brain cells to rub together can plainly see that EVERYTHING about last weekend's track was TINY compared to the track in the video I posted here.
WHY is that?
> The Riders we're seeing in these races, from both past and present, are the best in the world, nothing has changed there....
> HOWEVER, The Bikes are not as good now as the bikes we got to see in the races up until 2006....
> SO... BECAUSE of the bikes being less capable now, the TRACKS have to be built much flatter and easier, complete with relatively tiny versions of Jumps, Whoops.... Little tiny on-off Tabletops and well... everything really.
The reason why Supercross is starting to look like the 3 stooges riding playbikes on lesser versions of Supercross Tracks is becasue that's what's actually going on.
The tracks of today are being built to be less demanding of the bikes and the riders, because even the best riders in the world are capable of less on today's bikes. It's not their fault, they are the best riders in the world... It's just that it's harder to wrestle a fuel injected baby hippo around a Supercross track nowadays than it was to ride a purpose built Supercross bike around one back in the day.
So we need easier tracks now that are purpose built for baby hippos to race on.
