This should make your guys evening, i know it is going to mine! Cool

I can never get enough of these, and GoPro is getting them up earlier, and more of them. Major props to the GoPro guys for knowing what we love, and giving it to us.

Take a ride with Stewart, Milsaps, Chisholm, Izzi, Alessi and more! Watch from their perspective of the main event. This was the 6th round of Monster Energy Supercross held at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA.

Still can't tell what Stewart is caught on. I'm guess the clutch lever went through his pants then buried into the dirt.

What was interesting from James view was how quickly Reed pulled away and moved into 2nd, James was right behind Reed on the first lap.

I just watched Dungey in the whoops about 15 times in a row and my favorite part about those whoops is I didn't have to go thru them...Brutal Woohoo

Those whoops really were tough.
RV and CR will hope for more of the same cause it sure cut the other 2 out.
Rd bouncin and JS all over the place

Mikely looked slow thru them

All with the caveat that i couldnt ride them for crap!

Love these vids....and for some reason James bike revs like a two stroke. He is on the rev limiter a lot it seems. I know DV mentioned it's a high rev machine but it sounds much different compared to a traditional four stroke IMO.

No shit man!! Dude i was screaming at him thru my monitor all night lol Watch Chad, RV and James how they go wide in the corner to carry momentum into the whoops, and stay outside, now watch Dungeys line how he was turning in sooner and going down the inside, EVERYONE who was hitting the inside was losing all momentum just past 1/2 way through them.

I figured after he got to follow James thru them a couple laps that he would catch onto the line he and the guys in front of them, were taking. I just dont understand why he never tried a different line.

Yeah no doubt they needed to carry as much speed into those as they could.
Not to sound kooky here but wonder if Dungey ever spent much time on 2 strokes?

Best video is Swanepoel. His video is INSANE. First time through the whoops he holds it on with ZERO room and makes it. Also after Tomac basically ruins Marvin on accident he just owns that triple. Over jumps it and flat lands it no problem just to be .02 faster. Dude has turned it to another level.

He said it wasn't the clutch lever.

Is it me or do tracks look easier now than back then? I have heard DV say this a few times and I have done a few track walks in my time too, but this video of RC looks deeper and more technical than 2012 tracks.

Two interesting things I heard in the video

1. The dude said RC was the greatest supercross racer of all time.

2. RC didn't win ONE supercross in two years.

geez Reed went close to going down after the first turn in the Millsaps video

also if you pause the Izzi one at around the 1:35 mark where he looks over at lano on the triple you can see Baker up there too haha

ha yeah it's one of my favourite pics and what you can't see is he's actually squaring up and passing Alessi who's out of shot to the right

so squaring a turn wide open standing on the pegs... no biggie

Looking forward to the nationals.

And I remember that race. RC had this thing where he NEVER let off, it seemed like.

And yeah, his style and tenacity was just crazy. Do what ever, when ever to win.

That's definitely not your eyes malfunctioning GHR... It's the sport malfunctioning.

Everyone on TV blabbered on and on about how BIG the whoops and everything were last weekend and maybe they were big relative to the tracks of 2012. BUT, anyone with a few brain cells to rub together can plainly see that EVERYTHING about last weekend's track was TINY compared to the track in the video I posted here.

WHY is that?

> The Riders we're seeing in these races, from both past and present, are the best in the world, nothing has changed there....

> HOWEVER, The Bikes are not as good now as the bikes we got to see in the races up until 2006....

> SO... BECAUSE of the bikes being less capable now, the TRACKS have to be built much flatter and easier, complete with relatively tiny versions of Jumps, Whoops.... Little tiny on-off Tabletops and well... everything really.

The reason why Supercross is starting to look like the 3 stooges riding playbikes on lesser versions of Supercross Tracks is becasue that's what's actually going on.

The tracks of today are being built to be less demanding of the bikes and the riders, because even the best riders in the world are capable of less on today's bikes. It's not their fault, they are the best riders in the world... It's just that it's harder to wrestle a fuel injected baby hippo around a Supercross track nowadays than it was to ride a purpose built Supercross bike around one back in the day.

So we need easier tracks now that are purpose built for baby hippos to race on.
