I hate even getting involved in the 2 v. 4 argument but its still, after almost what 14 or 15 years, completely insane to me that a 250 two stroke competes against a 450 4 stroke. If you are going to regulate, just regulate by CC and that's it. Gasoline powered engine, X amount of CC's. Pretty new to the forum so maybe I've missed it but man, seems insane to me. Or this could just be MXA rubbing off on me Smile

At the end of the day, I have a 4 stroke and several 2 strokes. They are both completely awesome and serve a purpose. I tend to ride my 2 stroke more because I can fix it. Anything on it. In a few hours. For hardly any money. My 450 imploding scares the crap out of me!

Well, it's good to see Mr. Positive Sunshine showed up to spread some light and wisdom on us lower ones.

What I was pointing out is that more displacement is needed to compete with the 4-strokes, regardless of skill.

I wasn't responding to you, I was responding to those who could not find the video and questioned what happened after the halfway point. Thanks for your completely non-responsive post, though.

Oh well, your welcome. I assumed it was to me, so I was off. It ususally doesn't happen, but the air here in New Orleans is a little toxic today for some reason.

I still think a pro on one of these could do some damage in SX. He wouldn't qualify for a nat.
How do you figure they wouldn't qualify for a Naional when some guys most have never heard of managed to do it? And one guy we all HAVE probably heard of, Jeff Gibson, qualified at High Point last year on a borrowed bike that comes equipped with a kickstand.

A 250 is plenty able to qualify and race. It's money keeping them out of the races, nothing else.

kevin happens to be a good friend mine, he told me that he got a pretty good view of the inside of the dog house on that start haha. but still a great photo. and that bike is bone stock.
btw, when he called me a few minutes ago he was out shopping for a new 450, he'd be the 1st one to tell you that there is no comparison.

Thanks, awesome jump he got right out of the gate. If they are going to use 3' walls for the dog house, they should expect some peeking!
