it sounds to me like Tim Cotter should be fired from MX SPORTS Donnie Luce from Yamaha and Brian Deegan and Matt Walker should be suspended from all ama sanctioned races for a year ....The kid should have been given the motorcycle at the time of the claim being paid period .He claimed the bike after the last moto of his ;class and didnt have to let anything go to impound...He didnt have to agree to let Deegan race it the next day ..his class was over he pays he gets bike ..I remember reading several rules that say detrimental...

Nah, definitely need to lay down the hammer and either fine or ban star for X races. And for Deegan and the mx sports rep to pull him into a room over something that isn’t decided by them? Scumbag move.

This really shows me that there is some shitty intimidation going on ....I mean shakedown bullshit. AMA should ban the Deegans from competition. I'm a Haden Deegan fan....but this is total bullshit from YAMAHA , Brian Deegan , and all who strongarmed this young man, and his sponsors. I understand the implications that Yamaha cited....but rules are rules.

Wow, definitely lost a lot of respect for the Deegans and Star/Yamaha hearing this. To threaten his sponsor and such also? AMA needs to step up and put Yamaha in line or remove the rule. Maybe us speaking with our wallets and not buying new blue for a while will get the point across.

Rules are rules, they’ve been at Loretta’s for years and are fully aware of the rule. Lost respect for all involved. Especially at the corporate level to threaten a dealership and men to intimidate a teen. I’m sure Brian was upset, but this seems more corporate intimidating than the Deegans. They fought for their bike, but Yamaha’s response is disgusting.

Until now I assumed the motor was legal. Now I have to wonder. Why was Brian concerned about being defamed? Why so concerned about an engine builder seeing the engine? How could claiming the bike defame the Deegans more than their behavior has unless the bike was found to be illegal? The intimidation by both Brian and Haden will forever take them down in my eyes. Yamaha's behavior was reprehensible. Makes me embarrassed to ride blue. I hope they come clean, some heads roll and they make it right.
