I'm going, but unfortunately won't be going to the pro race. I'm solely going to race amature day and knock it off the bucket list. I recommend vrbo for lodging. I rented a house 30 minutes east of the track for $47 a night. Killer looking place too. Sorry I'm not much help, but john250 knows the area very well! He's been a big help to me!

I've been going to Daytona every year for almost 40 years. I am also in Daytona about every month. Daytona DID NOT cancel biketoberfest, I was there. They did not issue vendor and special permits (beer booths and bands) for Main St. The bars were open, and crowded inside. Other areas outside Daytona City Limits were open and normal. Many West Coast vendors were not there, because they were not allowing their employees to travel yet. The Daytona City Council just announced that they are issuing all vendor and special permits like a normal bike week. They want inside bar...

1/26/2021 12:40pm This will also be a first time going to Daytona. Have been to other venues but your typical stadium type situation. We are flying into Orlando and driving up to Daytona. Haven't booked a hotel yet as the wife and kids mainly want to stay on the beach. There is a high chance I will be going to the race...

This is exactly what I went through except I gave up way sooner...Plus I had some problems with EG's work. Dowel locating pin holes were not drilled deeper causing the head to warp and blow coolant the first time. The next coolant issue I had EG blamed a poor nikasil job..I missed races, paid shipping prices (shipping motors isn't cheap)...

8/16/2009 6:32pm I was also on the track at the Mora Enduro in Minnesota with him! Super nice guy and still very fast! I did look up to see how he did at Souix Falls and turns out he won! Atta boy Justin!
