6/30/2021 6:45pm A couple months ago I Picked up this all original 1977 husqvarna 250cr with the original tires and the title. Then about a month ago I bought the 1976 250wr. I plan to restore both bikes at the same time.

6/30/2021 6:44pm Okay cool! I’ve heard of dubya so I might just have them make an entire new spoke set so I don’t have to send the old ones to be plated again. Should be a ton of fun to race these bikes especially if I can get some good suspension on them both!

6/30/2021 6:39pm Buccan and Dubya both can make spokes if you need them. They might even have the data on file to make them. I needed rear spokes for my drum brake Cagiva and I had to send them the spokes to make them. Both charge about 110 plus shipping. When I ordered mine from Dubya two months ago the lead time was less than a week but Buccan's was over a week. Worth a call to both companies. How to disassemble your forks. Put them back together and compress them under the workbench then hit the damper rod bolt with the...

6/30/2021 10:54am All of these spoke nipples need to be replaced along with the two spokes. Anyone know where I can get individual spokes and nipples?

6/30/2021 10:46am I got it from Eastwood and you will need a spray gun too. The harbor freight guns are under 20 dollars and work great!

6/29/2021 7:03pm Planning on doing race tech gold valves in both bikes. The 250wr has some chips on the fork tubes so I’m gonna have to find a way to have that fixed. The forks on the cr came apart easy but I can’t get the wr forks a part which makes me think something is broken in side maybe…

6/29/2021 7:05pm Got more done on the two huskies so far everything is turning out pretty good! Everything has been put in the sand blaster and painted with some nice semi gloss high temp epoxy paint! The wheel bearings all need to be replaced on the wr and the cr bearings need to be cleaned and greased still. The bing carburetors have...

6/25/2021 2:04pm I have a 1977 250cr and I want to put fox air shocks on it. I have no idea how to check if they fit or how to make them fit. Does anyone know how what I might need to make them fit? Seems like they are universal as long as they are the right length. Here is a husqvarna...

6/25/2021 1:11pm I had 17 inchers on my 77 390 and I don't recall that there was anything that hindered it being pretty bolt on (unlike a 78-80 Honda 250). My recollection was that the Husky had a lot of room, You'll want the correct size bushings for the Husky mount bolts, and to make a shaft protector for the chain side. I have a clean copy of one of the later manuals and it has some air settings for Huskys, there may be other specific mounting information for Huskys as well. Feel free to download it instead of paying some cat...

6/24/2021 3:08pm Yeah I’ve always wanted an old 70s husky! Never thought I would get lucky and have 2 of them! Really cool bikes! Can’t wait to get these two done

6/24/2021 2:02pm Got both frames stripped along with all of the other painted parts! The engines both need some new crank seals. Other than that the crank on the 250wr seems tight and same with the 250cr! Both engines were stripped and repainted with satin black paint which looks pretty good. I plan to have both frames, swingarms, and gas tanks repainted...

6/23/2021 6:45pm The 250 wr is pretty beat up but it’s complete and runs! It has a lot of original parts still and most of them work. I hope to find some fox air shocks that will fit the 250cr and some works performance shocks for the 250wr,

2/19/2021 6:54pm I bought this 93’ cr250 more than a year ago for 400$. The bike ran and was pretty ugly. I am 15 years old and I don’t have tons of money to build the best bike. I have done a lot in over the summer and it looks pretty good for the amount of money I have.
