I know it's only been one round, and qualifying for the second just started, but Lopes is looking good this year. Good for him!

It’s a small tight track. I don’t have a problem with the track but many complain about it being to tight.

One of the reasons I like the sport is the fact it’s not “grown”. It’s more exclusive that way and most fans either ride themselves or used to which makes for a higher appreciation of the athletes and what they can do. Nascar “grew” and in my opinion completely alienated their core fan base.

Its a great event, i have an open invite to go , but i cant burn up holiday this early in the year. Its a decent series, but a lot less US riders these days, Bowers is there but he looks out of practice, didnt make the main out of the heat and was was back in the LCQ too. Its Arenacross at best, but still decent.

Man, we have some heavy opinionated people in here. Shit deal all the way around for Austin. Here’s to hoping this isn’t severe and he can be back on the bike soon. One could think he is mentally in a gutter and I hope he can rebound and come back swinging. He has a lot of haters to prove wrong.

As far as the sketchy in practice comments even a lot of the top 450 guys were having trouble with the tricky track conditions. Jett crashed twice in practice, Anderson, AC, Plessinger… etc I’m gutted for the guy, feel so bad for him not to mention that racing would be much better with him there.

I mean damn. All the building up to a healthy return....and he literally doesn't survive the first start straight.

He lost his balance and was on his way of making contact. He didn't shut the throttle and back out and that was the result. Anyone that has raced regularly has probably had that happen to them a couple of times and usually you just shut the throttle and accept you screwed up your start. He didn't do that, so i don't really buy that this was an unlucky incident like the one with Jett last year (that was unlucky). Anyways, brutal for him. Didn't even get hafway past the start straight and the season is basically done. And this...

Great racing. Aggressive but not even close to dirty.

I think Kenny is looking at the big picture career wise, good solid rides are way better than leaving on the Asterisk mule. Top 5 at A-1 is nothing to be bummed about, could be a good start for him to build on. As far as I am concerned it is amazing the guy is even racing at that level after the injuries and all the other health issues.

Ya know these guys aren’t all created equal. Eli is a freak when it comes to fitness something 99% of riders could never achieve. Kenny could do Eli or Aldons program and he’ll never be fit as Eli. i wish people would stop tearing Kenny apart. It’s great he’s still riding we should enjoy it.
