In reference to the YZ250 to the Yz250x, there are a few minor changes. the 250x has a slightly different compression ratio, the wheel size is smaller and the actual seat height is lower. Well in means of actually being on the track, just watch how the other guys do. Talk to other riders, see if they race or not. Find some one in a your class that races and try to find out some stuff. Watch how they ride, try to keep up with them see what they do. Racing is very different...

do you mean YZ-250 and YZF-250? the YZ is a 2 stroke, the YZF is a 4 stroke. Big difference.

I agree man, I raced and had a few local sponsors and just kinda lost the love for the sport. I was killing myself and other riders were just killing it. Time to take easy and enjoy it like you said .

I installed a clutch before last season ended, i used amsoil synthetic oil, i am curious to as if i can change the company of the oil? or should i stick with amsoil?

I've always ran Amsoil and it helped preserve my clutch and cylinder. Just hard to come by in my area.

Dont race until you have full control of your bike. Just have fun get used to the whole mist of things and enjoy motocross. Dont try to jump up to fast, you dont want to forget that even though motocross is a great and fun sport it is dangerous so take your time and enjoy.
