Brad873 Added a reply to Valve adjustment
3/16/2016 3:34pm Check the timing........ had a friend get valves done a few years back and his bike did something similar. Turns out they didn't get the cams/timing correct. I think it was 1 tooth off or something. Going off a bad memory from a few years ago.

11/3/2015 5:51pm And to be clear, I am in no way bagging on Mika products. Their sprocket held up just as good as other top brand aluminum sprockets I have tried........ I have just had better luck with steel and it just so happens they are cheaper in better bang for your buck which is what the OP was asking.

11/3/2015 5:44pm I know I will probably get blasted for this, but I really like the Primary Drive stuff from RM. Steel sprockets and X ring chain combo for under $90. And I can attest that the combo held up better than the Mika set I tried that cost a lot more. Sure, the aluminum sprocket is lighter, but the only place...

10/6/2015 6:47pm Thanks again for the info...... I may be hitting you up w questions over the course of the winter!
I got a deal on a 99 that I just couldn't pass up. My first choice was an 02+ model but haven't had much luck finding one that people didn't want an outrageous price for. This 99 is going to...

10/6/2015 5:32pm My starting point will be a stock 1999 YZ250. My hopes will be to get it to look somewhat modern with a 2002 - 2004 tank and shrouds, 2010+ front fender, and not sure what I will do for side panels and rear fender yet. Probably going to do a lot of reading and searching over the winter! This is...

10/6/2015 2:34pm Those side plates look pretty sweet! I might look into something similar for my 1999 YZ250 project bike this winter rather than spending the money on a complete kit and airbox.

10/6/2015 10:21am Thanks for the info. The 2002+ tank and shrouds definitely look a lot better! Time to start my search for a newer tank!

10/6/2015 9:32am Sorry to hi jack this thread, but I'm picking up a trashed 1999 YZ250 and plan on restoring it over the winter. It appears that most restyle kits start at 2003. Anyone have any options for updating the 1999 style plastic to at least the 2009 style? I don't need it to be the 2015 style, but I would at...

12/4/2014 1:28pm Man, I wish I lived closer! I would love to have an indoor place to ride in the winter! We typically hit Juniper Dunes and Horn Rapids a couple times over the winter months until we can hit it here at home. Enjoy everyone!
Went there last winter for the first time........ loved it! Was waiting all year to hit it again this winter but unfortunately it doesn't look like it will happen. I heard through the rumor mill that there might have been some internal family issues with how things should be done and and they decided to just close it down. Again...

2/6/2014 10:13am So who is manufacturing them? I assume a reputable company that's been in the MX chain business?

12/13/2013 9:15am I just purchased a set of number plate backgrounds from Chaos Graphics. Great customer service and very happy with the product so far. Worth giving a look at, especially if you are in the Northwest. They try and support quite a few local riders. If you talk to them, tell them Brad from Northwest MX News sent ya!

12/13/2013 9:07am Unless Taneum is under different ownership since last winter, I had the opposite experience and have a few friends also have issue with them last summer. A lot of talk and promises only to disappear..... Just my experience, though.
Brad873 Added a reply to Has anyone tried these Emig lock-on grips yet?
12/2/2013 5:07pm I've been using the regular ODI lock ons and love them. Will probably give the Emig grips a try next summer.

11/25/2013 10:29am Was a lurker for a few years before signing up.......... now I'm signed up but still don't post much. I find I'm lacking in the intelligence department to contribute much.
oh, and as for riding this past weekend....... it was too cold. But, hopefully headed to ride Juniper Dunes this Saturday and try out my new to me KTM...
