aklaunch Started a new thread YZ250 Front Brake Dragging
12/22/2024 8:47pm I have a very low hour 2019 YZ250 that seems to have a bit of a front brake dragging problem. Also, I notice the rotor moves significantly more than my 2020 YZ125's rotor moves. The 125 rotor movement is difficult to even detect. Can somebody out here please help? https://flic.kr/p/2qBoip5

Pretty much all YZ250 2007 and newer are 178main, 50 pilot, and N3EW needle. 1999 to 2006 the leaner N3EJ needle was standard and it came with the N3EW as an optional needle which people used when the bike would ping on pump gas. If you put in this jetting (either needle) and run 32:1, the bike should run reasonably well. If it doesn't you have other problems. You'll sometimes see YZ250's with much leaner jetting like 162-165 main and 45 pilot from guys who are either slow woods riders, at elevation, or running lower oil ratios like 50:1.

6/19/2024 1:26pm Thank you to all! I have been riding the thing for a bit more without problems. I moved the shifter so it sits a bit higher. Seems to be going through all the gears consistently now. I am going to order the the jets etc to have on hand

6/17/2024 8:51am I forgot to mention that with the bike running, clutch in, I can shift through all the gears positively. I might need to try this again to verify
