That is an absolutely beautiful bike I love the generation of cr's this one and the 1991 so much they're great looking bikes and I'm stoked that you confirmed something I've been researching which is the all balls Ford conversion kit bearings Etc because I'm hot on the tail of a 1987 CR500 and I'm going to put 47mm showa twin chamber Forks on it yes I know the old Forks are great but with a 500 and the driving force of the engine I think the 47 Mil Showa TC forks will make it a much more precise handling bike. I also enjoy the "feel" of inverted forks over conventionald bec it gives the bike a much lighter "feeling" front wheel more active and respinsive.... Plus my goal for restoring the bike is to give it an RC500 look/appeal.
