The forks work really good but I havent done anything to them and with it being a used bike I don't know if someone did something to them at some point. People always say that 89 CR forks are horrible but I have 2 89 500's and the forks on those work really good too but same thing, I dont know if somebody fixed the issues.

Thanks, I bought it so that she could race at Unadilla but I race it more than she does as she has an 85 CR250 and 98 KX250 that she races a lot, but it is way cool that she rides and races and we have fun swapping bikes back and forth doing different classes.

Those parts were made by an Italian company called VRP, I found them years ago and kept them until I got this bike and them put them on it.

Dang, I never got your reply until just now. I was 10 when these came out and I've had a crush ever since. I ride a newer YZ450F that is without a doubt the best bike I've ever had, and I've had more than a few. However, I absolutely must own an '89 CR 500R before I depart this mortal coil hahaha.
