So after two and a half years of trucking this thing around for two moves, I finally got my garage set up (enough) and some time to get to tearing this thing down. Shockingly, the oil looks fresh. Could’ve been changed before it was put up, but a sigh of relief for sure since I was worried about the corrosion inside the frame tubes where oil is kept on these things. If they are steel the magnet will have a strong attraction, if stainless steel they will likely be very slightly magnetic, if the intakes are titanium they wont be magnetic at all. 3/5/2026 6:10pm No I would just have the seats reground or cut. Beware that you cant lap titanium valves because you will take the coating off. If your intake valves have no clearance then the coating is already gone and the valve is toast. What clearance are you measuring for each valve?

Its been a long time. But I've started on the build again and making good progress. Not proud of how long it took to get to this point, but I'm rollin on it now. Bike is built and nearly completed. Threw back on the Keeney plastics that came with the bike years ago. New graphics with the #12 are on the way. Just have a few small things left to do on it, and it'll be finished. More updates to come
