63SPY Started a new thread Finding parts for a 1982 YZ80
8/19/2025 7:40am Hey, I’ve just received my uncles 1982 yz80 this Sunday and it leaks from the steering head. (It’s the one with the radiator up front with the forks) and I was wondering if there’s anywhere to get any parts for this bike, (mostly seals, gaskets) and some advice on getting the rust off it so it can look “good” again.

10/25/2024 1:47pm Sounds good, but on the Baja designs website it says it won’t fit my bike, I have. A 20 watt headlight That I was going to test with, but i think I’ll just send it and see if it works or not. Thank you!

10/24/2024 7:39pm I have a 2017 RMZ 250 and was wondering if I could put a headlight on the bike, the stator produces 60 watts, and the rectifier is 13.7 DC volts while running, could I hook a light up without hurting the other functions?

6/29/2024 8:34pm We’ve had the exhaust off to weld it after he busted a hole through it. (Fell perfectly on a rock) and repacked the muffler while we did it. I don’t believe there is a restriction. Thank you for the ideas though.

6/29/2024 3:09pm We haven’t been into the top end yet. The power valves seem to function and open normally? Is it possible they would function normally if they were incorrectly assembled?

5/23/2024 11:45am Hello, I have a 2017 RMZ250 and it ticks intermittently at idle. I thought it was the valve train but on further inspection it’s not. Everything I check comes out perfect and I want to know if it’s just normal for these bikes. Could it be the auto decompression? Thanks in advance.

Well here the bike is ! I do have white plates and original front fender and graphics coming to give the bike the original look but what’s on it will do for now. Better more detailed pics are coming !

4/26/2024 10:47am The front of my seat on my RMZ is loose, and I don’t understand why. No movement up and down, just side to side. Bolts are all tight, and it’s just an odd feeling to ride around sliding sideways, any ideas?

3/27/2024 9:34am Either the cylinder was flooded and the bike sat, causing some gas to get through the ring, or the worse problem, but more likely, your piston rings are bad. Or it’s yknow, not broke in yet.

3/21/2024 9:47am Klx140! Bbr sells some sick mods, you can get multiple wheel and suspension sizes, and can put rm85/kx85 suspension on when the time comes, they also make frame cradles.

3/21/2024 9:22am Are you rebuilding them for yourself? Then I’d start with the lower number and just add as needed. If it’s for a friend I’d just put it in the middle of those two numbers and tell them how to add and adjust. It’s just oil. Its gonna be obvious if it’s too soft.
