Yeah, I agree. Too muchy of Jim talking about racing and not enough racing itself. Cute interview with John. He's camera shy for some reason but he's one of the greats. A pretty humble guy, it appears. Funny isn't it. I look at James and think he's a bit of a punk but he's truly a legend of the sport...

This isn't about you guys - it's about him...at least he's still fighting. Who / what you miss / love isn't important.

Some of the best rides I've ever had were on a 125. It's just different between them and especially the 4 stroke era. I was going to use a sex analogy but....

Mine was, "Don't Look Back". A common theme I've picked up on at this site is how people love to live in the past. As many of you know, I'm not a big fan of yesterday. I love listening to Elvis and Mystery Train and all those old albums but it gets really repetitive and irritating how this demographic prefers...

Nice straw man but if you knew anything about the era, you'd know that McGrath never raced against Bayle, Ward, Kiedroski (sic), or Bradshaw. They were all done when he arrived. And Stanton was on his way out. The others, Henry and LaRocco, were not supercross riders but better outdoors. Larry Ward was good but not a superstar. So the...
Ron Lechien was great back then. I loved all the JT racewear that Baily and Lechien wore. I remember one story David Bailey told me once when he and Ronnie were in the back of their box van getting changed. He said they had just had several boxes of JT racewear dropped off for their practice and were getting dressed...

Come on, that's not fair! You're just saying that because you're Australian. Why can't you just mention a rider you like - because you like him - not because he's from the same country you are?

You're new to the sport and only grew up with McGrath. Become a student of the sport and you'll see why you're opinion is nonsense. McGrath enjoyed a cakewalk to those 72 wins. All the tough guys had left the stage when McGrath arrived. Had Bayle, Ward, RJ and Stanton (in his prime) been around, McGrath wouldn't have dominated. MC...

Exactly. A lot of people do that after moto - and travel. If you like bikes and riding, you can still ride. For example, travel and ride through different countries on a dual sport. You can do it alone or with friends or groups. It's fun and interesting. Get out and see the world. There's lots you...

McGrath, other than Emig, did not have much competition during his time. Although, he was good at stupidcross...I mean supercross. He was in a certain era that permitted him to win as many races as he did. The big boys had left the party when McGrath arrived. Jean Michelle Bale and Stanton (in his prime - not 1993) would have...

Yeah, I thought about that also. I'm guessing he also means that you have to have the right 10 or 12 other people working on the team to support the riders - managers, mechanics, PR, trainers, etc. Doing it alone like Reed is going to do is not the same, and MC should know from personal experience. Who knows. If...

Exactly. I was surprised how honest, controlled but honest, he was with his comments about Reed and Christophe Pourcel. He didn't sugar coat it. So, he's not a fan of Pourcel!
