I gave up riding for several years, mostly to focus on my Daughters racing career. Now that her racing days are pretty much over, I bought a '03 Honda CR 125 and brought it back to life (Thank you Garvis Honda and Hickman Racing). Today on a RARE 50 degree day, in Iowa, in November I rode it for the first time. It might be the most fun I've had with my clothes on! I think everyone should have one.

I haven't been on a 125 in probably 15 years, I would love to ride one again just to see what it's like now.

Aztalan had a +35 125 race this year at the Racer X Vet Series Round 3.. Probably the most fun I had racing all year.

That's all i ride is a yz125 08 model and i love it. i have friends with 250f's that can beat me if we are racing but majority of the time we are just play riding and having fun and this is where this bike excels and leaves a 250f for dead

if its anything like the rm 125's ive owned, add 1 tooth to the rear sprocket if the rear sprocket is stock. if stock is 49,go to a 50. other than that, run a 304 pc shorty silencer and you are good to ripp. love the 125 suzuki's...

My youngest son and I rode a tag team mx event this weekend on his KTM144 while my oldest son and my brother were on his 04 RM125. So much fun! The KTM144/150 is like a 125 on roids, most fun bike ever.

I'm sending in my suspension to Pro Action soon on my 05 YZ125 for next year to play around on. Heck, I may even stud the tires and ride it this winter. I borrowed it to my nephew to abuse for two years and just got it back. Time for a 125 makeover. Can't wait to go braap braap braap. haha

I agree, but I am 6'3 230 not fat, so its not really an option for me. I wish that I could, I loved riding and racing them growing up.

Up in Maine here at MX207, we are beginning to hold a 125 open class at our races. For now, its just 125cc open and that is it. Hopefully interest builds and we'll be able to split it up A,B,C and bring back the 125 class.
It's a start.

I own one, and love it! No matter how slow I'm going, it always sounds like I'm going fast!

I'm building a CR 144 with porting, squish for VP C12, Boysen rad valve, custom pipe, shorty silencer. It's gonna rip, can't wait!

Dirtbike had a nice feature on 125's couple of months ago. Bottom line some of the best fun on two wheels.

Saw a cheap Bill's silencer new in the bag on Ebay for a 00-01 and also a 02-07 CR125.

I've raced all 4 major brands of 125 two strokes, personally I liked the Suzuki RM-125, but all are good. They handle awsome and will help you improve faster then any other size bike. Allthough they do force you to be aggressive and not lazy, but thats a good thing. I feel if you want to become a better rider, then a 125 will speed up the process. Have fun!!!!!!!!

I own a 2006 YZ 125 and a 2004 CR 125. My YZ SMOKES the CR. I love riding both bikes. Nothing beats a 125!

Anyone out there running a blueprinted 144 on race fuel like mine??

Not the Athena kit I'm talking a full blown race set-up?

Just curious what I'm in for when I get this thing back together...

Not put together yet, but it's at the machine shop right now getting the overbore, the porting, and headwork. It pretty much blew the budget for the rest of the bike lol so I'm staying with the big bore. I had to draw the line somewhere! The thing needed new nickel plating and piston, etc. so I felt like what the hell lets go bigger and with the porting.. and bigger is better right! Stroking was too much extra $$$ to be justified at this point.

I bought a cr 250 last summer to get back into 2 strokes and because I raced a lot of honda 250's. I just wasn't feeling it, buy maybe another 125 is what I need.

I've got A KTM200 EXC which I use for moto and trail. Had to comprimise for both with suspension a litle but it's a lot of fun. Stock engine bar FMF MX std length silencer and got the jetting super crisp. Like a strong 125 up top but with a grunty bottom to boot.

Yeah, I been trying to find a good 125 on the cheap that is in decent condition, but most guys want too much money as they must have aspirations of buying a four stroke, or the bikes are completely trashed and have not been looked after. I am sure I will find one soon. Cant wait to ride another one dinger !!!

Some of the best rides I've ever had were on a 125.

It's just different between them and especially the 4 stroke era.

I was going to use a sex analogy but....
