hope it doesn't come together by outdoors. I know that sounds bad......sorry. I'm a fan, but my feeling is outdoors he'll just kill everybody and make it boring 24/24.

If James can go 24-0 against this field I say it will make for a great story. But I don't think he can.

No way he goes 24-24 against this field. In fact, based on his consistency in SX this season, I'm not even sure I'd label him the favorite to win the title. I'm the same as you, in that I'm a fan of good racing, but this season, I would welcome James to bring-it with the rest of them.

Thats impossible. There is no possible way he can go 24/24 now.

Why do i get the feeling he was never going to the do the Nationals anyway, ,,,havent we heard this tune before from James and getting ready for the Outdoors and then a few weeks before he starts questioning whether or not he can line it all up.

All right. And then the last thing is, looking ahead, what are your plans for outdoors?
Man, you know what? I felt things were coming together early in the season and, you know, it's not... I think we're still trying and all that stuff. It's hard. I think I'll probably get ruined for saying it but it's a lot tougher than I thought it would be. We're still going forward. I want to race and I haven't been able to race for a while. We'll see what happens. But I think the next couple weeks we'll be able to tell a lot of things and I'll definitely have an answer by Vegas for sure.

I take that as "NO way im dong outdoors" Villo just got the title handed to him Wink

Unfortunately I agree. It's sounds like he's getting his excuses lined up instead of what is necessary to race. I hope I'm wrong. Can you imagine the message boards if he doesn't race outdoors again even after getting rid of LB.

From the interview:

Could that last line mean if I win the Supercross title I won't race outdoors?

Ya, whats up with that kind of talk? I would guess its his way of throwing attention away from his take outs and other problems? Then again its not like its anything new if you have been paying attention for the last several years.

I think that we most likely will not see him much this summer, too bad as i am sure RV and RD would love to race him for the title or at least some races! And i think the fans would like to see how he matches up against the new blood outdoors also.

So only 4 weeks away from the start of the Outdoor season and we have:

Reed- questionable
Stewart -questionable/ sx only team
Canard -injured
Grant - injured
Tedesco - injured/sx only team
Regal -questionable/ sx only team

That is alot of talent unable to race.

I see the excuses have already started to come in.....see it every year from the Stewart camp. And now that he "owns" the team......what's the friggin' excuse now? Oh wait........I know what it is.....it has the initials of RV , RD , TC , CP.

I'd like to see him try the out doors again.....but he's already backing out on it. I won't count on him making it to the line at RD 1. IF he does.....he'll only do a few rounds , do well so he can claim he's the fastest.....only knowing he couldn't make it a full season. Typical JS bullshit.

Flame away........

In a way i can see your point, i think after last years summer experiment when he and his trainer said he was 100% ready to race the outdoors, Dungey won going away and didn't break a sweat. Now with RV and others in the mix he has to be concerned to lose his fmop title which he is very likely to lose in SX this year also.. He already has won everything that he could win so why risk it now and end his career without a championship and lose to someone that is a a newby compared to him? Wise decision if he does not race MX any longer IMO.

Why exactly are you saying "why risk it now and end his career without a championship"? Do you know something we don`t ? You do know that he`s only 3 years older than RV, right?

On the bright side, it looks like we could be gaining CP, we are getting Weimer back, and Alessi on a 450 outdoors is like having a new rider in the mix.

I do know that he said he would race cars in a heart beat if he was offered a good ride.. and i also know that RC retired when he was at a "young age" but was on top so its not unusual to retire at his age and i think even though JS used to say he would break every record, things are wearing on him. I just think that after riding at his level for so many years and after last years MX fiasco and a possible loss of this years SX championship he may be ready so back it down some and enjoy his reality show and life. Just an observationSmile

I think exactly opposite. I think last year Unadilla was a turning point, but not in a direction you mentioned. I might be wrong, but I really hope I`m right.

"He may be ready to back it down some". What the hell has he been doing. No outdoor races for at least two years, maybe three now. Missed most of last year. He better step it up or he will be left in the dust. This part time racer deal doesn't work anymore. Too many guys going too fast to skip half of the year, IMO.

I'll bet a paycheck that Regal will be there no matter what. That kid has a ton of HEART. He'll jump back into a box van if he has to do it.

You said it, "he owns the team". The team is an SX only team. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I am guessing the sponsors are in it for SX only. I think it is hilarious that some think he is scared to race. Classic.

That wasn't much of an interview. Only talked about seattle and 1 question about outdoors.

Besides the shitty interview I really Hope to see James and Chad for outdoors so its not just the Ryan's. To bad canard won't be there for them all i bet he could have been the '11 outdoor champ. Sad
