Faster on any terrain that matters.
Cheaper to buy/maintain
Race ready right out of the box
People won't think you're "special needs" riding a dirtbike like they would a quad.

I've owned 4 strokes since 2003. Since then, I've replaced one set of values and no top ends.

Please explain to me how much less it cost to maintain and ride as 2 stroke, as I must have missed "all the extra costs" associated with 4 strokes.

Dude you have to realize you're the exception to the rule right?

I hate the whole two strokes rule mentality, but I mean come on, they are way cheaper and easier to maintain. Example: I blow a motor and it costs me 3k to rebuild, friend siezes his kx500 and it needs a new piston/rings, rod, bearings, and for $500 he's got a fresh motor.

Dirt bike hands down. Atv's are very hard on the environment. They just plain destroy trail systems and everyone gets the blame.

Funny topic.

ATV's are 5X more expensive to race, injure you much easier, are only allowed at certain tracks, you'll get slapped around by bike guys, and they ruin bike ruts.

Bike's are cheap, easy to maintain, don't track you down when you crash (usually), can go anywhere, and people don't seem to have a problem with them.

Its just like the skier-snowboarder dilemma. Go with the bikes, its easier.

I typically have more fun riding utility four wheelers with my family in the mountains and trails...then I do being away from them on the MX track on my bike.....

valves, valve springs, timing chain, timing chain tensioner, oil pump and more.

those are all moving parts that wear out that 2 strokes don't have them.

if the part isn't there it can't break, is that simple enough ?
