Just to be clear here, I've never been a fan of James. I respect his talent and speed, but I'm not a fan of his. So I'm not sure where the hypocritical comment comes from. He rode a flawless race, much like the James of old. I just didn't buy the tears.

Well Cody.....seems most of the guys in this thread are against us on this , but HELL YES that shit was so fuggin' fake i was actually laughing my ass off! I don't care who I piss off by saying it either..........go back and watch it a couple times!

All I can is.....the Bubbas world show has made him into an actor.....a shitty actor.....but still an actor!

One other thing........i can't believe I have seen so many guys in here actually thinking that crying shit was real? He did it to save face with his sponsors as far as I saw it.

I'm a fan of James ( not the stalker kind like some others on this board ) but still a fan. But HAHA!!..........That shit was as fake as his damn show is!
I thought is 100% sincere...but, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

And yer a puss....so go fuck yourself.

Steve ( GuyB ).......I know you see James every weekend , and if you say that you think it was real , then I believe you. the only thing I stated was my own opinion , and that it was a fake cry for some reason or another. I dunno....it seemed pretty fake to me , but whatever.

As far as that goes......i aint on this board to talk about a Crying / not crying episode here......I'm here to talk about the sport. I still can't ( for the life of me ) figure out what all the emotion was supposed to be about. You have some loud moth puss like NytsmaC above me calling me names and being a little prick , when all i did was give my opinion.

You can go back through all my friggin' threads , and see for yourself if i am a constant Stewart basher.....I am NOT! I admire the kid for what he has accomplished in this sport. But all the nut-hugging bullshit gets old.

Is Stewart bummed because of the whole police situation? If he is , how much do you ( any of you ) want to make a bet that nothing but a fine and maybe 20 hrs of community service happens?

Jesus Christ.....some of you guys act like he's going to go on a 10 yr prison stretch.
You see what you see on TV. There's lots of other stuff that happens outside of the TV camera's view that you don't see.

As a friend of mine said recently on Twitter, #beingthere > #notbeingthere.

I watch RV take several sips out of an empty can of Monster Energy whenever he's on the podium and it's as fake as it gets. We know Dungey is going to sign off with a Target wave. Stewart gave an emotional podium speech and sometimes we all need to let that build up out of us. Stewart's arrest was out of his character and I'm sure he felt not only embarassment for himself but also sadness for disappointing his parents. The man thanked his sponsors and everyone who supported him. Now all he has to do is put together a string of wins to get this sx series even more interesting than it already is.
that's bottled monster water you fucking twit.

Ok , point taken. Maybe I was wrong ( not very often that happens huh? ). Anyways.......there seems to be a lot of guys saying that emotional thing with James was true. I didn't see it like that " on camera " but again , I could be wrong. Either way , damn man , I do wish James the best ya know? I have become more of a fan of James in the last couple years , then I ever had been before. If anyone was to go back through my recent posts ( last 1.5 years ) they would see that I did a ton of "sticking up " for James.

Getting called a fucking retard for stating my opinion really sucked. Especially from a guy who I have never even as much as had an argument with on here before. And then have two other Dicks come in and back him up.......screw em!

Seemed like genuine tears to me. Bubba doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that would want to be seen crying on national TV.

I agree they were genuine, but as for not wanting to be seen; keeping his helmet on would have prevented us from seeing his face all squished up in tear producing form after he won.

That is what struck me as odd. He was crying on the bike before getting to the podium but still ripped his helmet off hastily while still riding for all to see (and take pictures). Seems more like wanting to be seen.

In a similar vein, if you watch carefully, you'll see some people just keep posting as much as possible to prove that they're complete toolbags.

exactly kinda like after the race in toronto when he hurt his leg and he got off his bike and layed on the ground (when preston had a go at him, which was awesome) instead of staying on the thing that could carry you anywhere you wanted to go... sorry to get off topic

maybe genuine but it was a show.... this is all my opinion and stuff

No doubt that James was truly emotional on the podium. In that situation it was an emotional release as he has been trying to get things sorted out and lots has been going wrong on and off track mostly due to his own mistakes. That crying was not fake. I believe he felt he has been letting his family his sponsors and himself down and apparently he feels the pressure is off. Good for him. I'm glad he rode such a great race and was satisfied with his performance. Him crying was fine with me because he was honestly feeling it. Now,should we in the same sentence dog out on RV,RD,etc. because they don't get weepy or sound controlled when they are interviewed? I say no. Some guys would say,I just won a race, yeah but I'm still down on points. Let's get back to work. James just had a hard time keeping the lid on it. No worries. The championship is great for us fans. Let's hope no one takes anyone else out and no one DNF's from here on out. Got my tiks for Vegas! Smile

He wasn't crying yet when he took off his helmet. He took off his helmet, threw it down next to me as he rode by, and made a whole other turn. Then, when he stopped on the first jump he was going to celebrate on top of - he hadn't stopped until this moment - he began to cry. It hit him then, as it should, with all of the fans cheering, once his bike stopped.

There's nothing fake about that. He has taken his helmet off before and not cried.

He's a very nice guy.

What got me in this video is how badly he wants to win.
