"You know, I’ll never, ever forget that the industry turned their back, and I feel that they kind of wiped their hands on me a little bit and they didn’t believe that I still had what it took to be competitive against these younger kids."

He has been so straight forward in discussions, and that is refreshing.
Has great things to say about his competition most all the time.
Different from some of the riders of the past, and today.
Great series, great competition, and very cool racing. Should be fun right down to Vegas.
All I know about Reed is what I've seen him accomplish over the years.
All I know about Mike Fisher is that he'll come to regret giving Reed any extra motivation.
I work with Ozzy on a regular basis, and if you're lookin' for a hard workin' guy, you hired the right dude. Sometimes the only way to shut Dave'O down is with a Baseball Bat. Glad to see him enjoying himself. He's another guy that a lot of people had written off. Glad to see him having another day in the sun.
How many times has he blamed the bike, or the team, or the factory when he doesn't win? He 's given several interviews in the past couple years where the whole talk was about walking away from the sport. He had a factory ride last summer that turned out to be a flop, and his reasons flip-flopped between legitimate sickness and some vague impression that he just didn't gel with the bike. Is he really wondering after all that why anyone would have doubts about him or not give him full support, especially in these lean times?
He's a great rider, but he often comes off like a whiny, needy bitch.
So Reed has already been faster at some races, how can you say he won't be again?
Honda gives him bikes, parts and some factory parts.
Even though Pro Circuit builds his motors and suspension, these are items that you can't buy (just like Pro Circuit's race team)
The only reason I bring this up is because there are some true Privateers that are racing the 450 class and they buy absolutely everything and have no factory help. Yes they aren't leading the series, but to me it's a slap in the true Privateer's face to categorize Chad Reed as a Privateer.
If I was to categorize Chad Reed or Team 22, I'd say they'd be Private Team. Just like Factory Connection, Pro Circuit, L&M Racing, JGR, Valle Motorsports and I can keep going. Wow, there are a lot of them and I'd say a few of the team's I just mentioned have worst equipment than Team 22.
So Nerd please stop calling Chad Reed a Privateer.
Pit Row
First Larry B was the villain, then Fisher, now whoever else. Maybe he just uses it as motivation.
Personally I'd go with privateam for Chad, but that's just me.
