Will the Troy Lee team have 250 riders for 2027? Haven't seen anything about it.
No.
Only 450 for 2027.
It's been sounding like the 250 program might go to a separate team.

Keefer not a fan.
While the Desmo system works for road racing, where revs=speed, for MX, as we all know (apart from Barcia and Deegan) revving a 450 to the moon doesnt work, so while it may make great power up top, you dont need up top, you need 'get there' power.
Now the 250 on the other hand, may well be a weapon for all the reasons the 450 isnt.
its a damn sexy bike
I thought it would sound.... a bit better.
Looking forward to the shootouts.
Just added Mosiman's/Hold Fast Media's video.
Montgomeryville Cycle had one at the ride day at etown for people to try out as well as the 450
Didnt get a chance on either myself
a few friends did and were pretty impressed
FIM noise limits to thank for that .
Mosiman isn't either.
Sounds like $10k to get a bike similar to the 2018 Honda 250 that was a screamer but a dog off the bottom.
Give me a 350 and i am sold
I’m still convinced the moto media has no idea how the desmo system works. Also the constant talk of how high it revs might be overdoing it a bit. The last redline number I could find for a YZ250F was 14k for ‘26. It’s been raised 700 rpm for ‘27. Yamaha missed the boat by not hyping up the high revving conventional valve train I guess.
The FIM sound limits make every bike sound like a wet fart in tight pants.
Needlessly graphic.....
Mosiman with perhaps the most honest review/intro to a bike I’ve ever seen.
With keefer you always have to read between the lines because he’s afraid to publicly say a product or bike isn’t good.
Pit Row
With a service interval that high stock, just wait for the MXGP teams' limit.
I don't have any experience personally but I imagine this motor probably runs really good on the dyno and with Ducati being a road bike company with very limited experience in the dirt they have missed the mark. I have often heard guys like Jamie ellis comment that the dyno is just a tool and isn't the be all end all in motor development however coupled with comments from Seewer it seems the Ducati brass have a hard time utilizing test rider feedback when tackling the nuances of motocross.
Just added MXAs video.
