It’s starting all over again! Don’t wanna make it look too different from the stock bike, but improve suspension, engine and had some carbon 🥰

Frame is back from powder coating and bolts from zinc plating. Still some parts to order, but couldn’t stop from starting to put the puzzle back together.

It’s coming along slowly, swingarm is in place.
Waiting for the Cerakote painting on the engine cases and hubs to finish the engine and lace wheels.
Did some mock ups in the meantime and it’s looking gorgeous 😍

Nice build indeed, my first ever new bike was a 2004 SX125, loved that thing, Question though was the Rattray edition the same as the SXS?

Also what part of Portugal are you from?  I go to Cascais quite a lot to stay with friends, would love to go to a moto track or two, see quite a few wilderness tracks in the Uber from the airport but no actual tracks.

No Rattray edition is not the same as 125 SXS models. Rattray has few SXS in it like the triple clamps and cylinder head but most parts it's the same bike as the 2006 production unit. 125 SXS bikes are more like semi factory bikes with special engine package (Cylinder, Cylinder head, 5 speed transmission, ECU, large radiators, Doma exhaust , V-force reeds ) and special frame parts ( DLC coated SXS suspension with different internals, reinforced frame, triple clamps, DID u-shape rims, bigger fuel tank, brake discs)

I vaguely remember them, not long after I bought my 04 Sx 125 I went back to the shop for some parts, they had one in the showroom.  I thought it was a full factory bike at first, was a head scratching moment to trade up but couldn't justify the hit on mine only being a month old and the extra cost.  I paid £3,950 for mine and believe the SXS was £5,200.   Obviously looking back I wish I did but had a trials bike and jet ski hobby to fund too!   Would have been a great garage ornament now.
