The first time I saw pics of this series in Dirt Bike magazine as a kid I thought it looked like the coolest thing in the world. Could not get enough of the aesthetics of it. Finally got to watch the full series of it last year, ~25 years later. It's definitely not as cool as I thought it would be as a kid but it's a fun enough watch.
It definitely doesn’t get the love it deserves!
I was really bummed to see the stands maybe 1/3 full. It is such a fun event to watch. Every single skill level is represented and it’s impressive and hilarious at the same time. I just wish the streaming package wasn’t on Flo especially with how expensive it is. If I’m only subscribing for EX, it is tough to justify.
As a longtime fan since the beginning in 2004 and then spending years traveling to them with my sons racing the series I can say the tracks aren’t near what they used to be.
There was a direct correlation between the tracks getting “more flow” and it losing popularity. I mean check out Vegas 2013, Awesome track!

That said I miss not being there and would be happy to go again if my kids ever do it again. We where also all sitting around the tv watching it last Saturday 👍

'Preview' video which actually includes the hot laps and 1st pro race at Rd #2 at Boise.
Hot laps starts at 18 minutes in and pro moto 1 at about 45.
Trystan is well pissed at some of the riders who protested him in moto 3 last week that got him DQed. Do we know who they were?
I went to the one in Nampa (Boise) last night. It's very entertaining. Those top guys got skills!
Totally worth a watch of the final race between Taddy and Brown haha
The European tracks sometimes are as cool as this one. Not always =/
Highlights for RD2 are out too. THey are doing a nice job with the highlights this year
I wish we could have more huge tires, rocks, chopped wood (? is that the term in english?) and less logs but ehh, this is my favorite type of "bike" racing out there.

The log "whoops" were the deciding factor in the pros last night.
Log pits can be a bit of a lottery. Multiple rock sections and some kind of elevation are always good features to have, like up & over the bridge at the Germany round of SuperEnduro.
Here Billy makes it look easy but it isn't and it makes for great racing I reckon.
Sure was!
I'm just curious, what is the injury rate among the top riders in EnduroCross, because we lose about 2/3 of our top SX guys every year?
This racing is great, and the guys are rarely going over 20mph. Do we really need high speed rhythm sections and 4th-gear death whoops just because Feld thinks it looks good on TV?
Yeah not to get totally off topic but make SX more steep and technical, get rid of high speed on offs to slow racing down and increase lap times
Agreed! Make it like it used to be. Didn't nail the corner perfect? Well, it looks like you'll have to double the triple. Messed up on the beginning of the rhythm? Well, now you're out of sequence for the whole rhythm section. Tracks should be technical where every little mistake will cost you.
A lot of t hat has to do with wit the bikes unfortunately. 2 strokes were unforgiving and you had to be perfect to nail everything smoothly. 4 strokes don't require you to be as flawless and you can fix your mistake with one blip of the throttle. I'm over these high speed freeway supercross tracks. I miss the whole, go slow to be fast type of racing.
He can be pissed all he wants, but facts are his team would have 100% done the same thing.
Pretty low. Yes there have been seasons where a top guy is out, but often it’s a preseason injury from Hard Enduro or something.
I remember Billy Bolt once broke his ankle on a weird landing on the 2nd of 3 races of the day... he left the track, rolled on the floor in pain..... came back and won the 3rd race of the day. Something like that haha.
The rate of injuries is pretty low. It can happen, sure but its way easier on the body. These guys do Hard Enduro in the summer, those ones can be nastier, but also nothing compared to the SX-MX constant hard injuries
