Dirt Bike magazine is reporting the first special tests on Days 1&2 have been cancelled.

An unconfirmed report is that a tractor drove thru the test section and destroyed the stakes and ribbons marking that test section.

I can remember spectating at the 1973 Berkshire ISDE in Western Massachusetts when I was very young and in a knapsack.

It could really suit the Aussie boys if it is as sandy has it has looked, both the junior and senior team, and for that matter the Women's teams are full of very handy sand riders.

I've paid the $18 .40 AUD for the FIM MotoTV coverage, and will line up a few you Tubes to follow. Most specifically,  OZ ,  Scurrilous Bloody Kiwi, US, Finnish , Swedish and, of course Jaume Soler's coverage.

I've a Lot of work this week to do, so will miss a fair bit, but I'll catch up on the Heaps of YT channels later in the month. There's just so many YTers that post footage of  ISDT/  ISDE action.

I'm not sure what happened, but I used to see cameras set up in various Teams Start Of / End Of Day Pits. That was great, especially the US  Teams footage - as, I could (just barely ) understand them - Americans sure do speak funny, almost as unintelligible as those Ratbag Kiwis! . But, I think 'they' banned it - or , more likely, dopey old me just doesn't make enougth effort to find it .

The last time I saw 'the cameras hanging in the Easy Up '  footage  might have been when you, BoxcarWilly did the ISDE / ISDT?

I mate, I'm sure Gaz at Fullnoise will be putting together a daily report, pulling all the different team and manufacturers press releases together long with any official PR. That is always a good place to go for quick daily wrap up along with everything else you have planned.

Perhaps an East Coast venue for an American ISDE ?

If it were held at ski resort in the shoulder season of West Virginia and hosted by MX Sports with all their MX Infrastructure? Close to where MX Sports is based with a course laid out by Former Enduro star Jeff Russell and his son ?

The question being are there enough trails and dirt roads in the area so you get 500 miles and ran it twice to get 1000 miles out of it ?

GNCC course special tests ?

500 riders and 1000 support personnel plus spectators would be a massive economic boost for the region.

Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort (Snowshoe, West Virginia) – A marquee stop on the GNCC tour since its debut in 2007, featuring a paved village start and grueling runs across the mountain's ski slopes, rock gardens, and deep mud sections.

Winterplace Ski Resort
(Beckley, West Virginia) – Hosted GNCC events from 1988 through 1992, making it one of the earliest ski resort venues in the series' history

Thanks Aaryn!

I'd forgotten about Fullnoise - might just put it on my work tablet to check things, in between obligations.

The coverage from FIM MOTO TV hasn't been that spectacular - tends to have footage of special tests from only one or two places, but, it's OK, and, they might change it 'up' - you never know. But, their Morning and end of Day shows are good -with various riders in the studio ( generally a 'Gold Fish Bowl '  , if I remember correctly) and the first one is tomorrow at OZ East Coast 5pm.

I've been following Nate Ferderer for a few years now.

He's back at the Six Day, riding a YZ125 this year.

As an aside, on one of his Email Posts, he put up some figures of the cost of going this year. Some hard numbers, some estimates, but, I'd say the numbers added up, just near or over $21,000 USD, will be less than his eventual 'spend'. It included the purchase of the second hand YZ125, and the maintenance / mods  he paid for - while getting some help from  a (few?) parts sponsors. In his 2nd last post, he discovered trashed wheel bearings  ( I forget which wheel ) while in Portugal - something that could have ruined things for him. His Sister found a bearing supplier nearby for him !

Racing,  especially when travelling OS, is Not Cheap. Hell, I've sat down and worked out the near on $100,000 K I spent  going OS to represent, my Country in 4 sports - and that was many, Many years ago, when those Dollars were worth far more than today. But, it was Worth It All, just for the experiences .

He mentioned the esteemed Jaume Soler as a source for good You Tube coverage, which most of us know, but he also listed Radio Paddock on You Tube, that I'd not encountered before . So, I'll check it out - so far, for 2026 vids, they've got 2 Training Day videos - but, of course, previous year ISDE and Enduro GP vids.

For a Swedish perspective, there's Race Magazine's coverage.

I've been going through various ISDE oriented You Tube channels I've previously subscribed to, unsubscribing, then re-subscribing, to have them at the top of my listings, Cripes I've got a Lot of them!

Saw an fim - moto  ( they have some free vids, on all sorts of MC sports ) You Tube vid last night, with a few short rider interviews - for the US  mob here, there's a few  ' takes ' from all 3 of the US Women. It should be the usual battle between Garcia and Verona for Outright, but, perhaps someone else will come to the fore.

  • Just watched on You Tube Andrea Verona 99 - he has a Pre - Event video up. Not sure if he'll be doing more throughout it all. Had a bugger of a time getting the auto translate to work, but, that's just from me dropping the bloody mouse for the zillionth time - the poor little Rodent is just about dead.........

Only a few hours until the FIM MOTO TV subscription show starts!

Just watched the first Cast from the Event - Antione "Alligator' Meo and , I've gone blank , as I'm Old and Idiotic, a Bloke I Should know the name of,  his name will probably come to me in the middle of the night - walking through Parc Ferme, talking to various riders / team people.

Really good - it's the sort of thing I always find interesting. Meo's rapport  ( and the other bloke) with riders, is great. His brief talk with  Patricia, one of the Swedish Officials, was good.  - apparently they 'clashed' in Jury meetings, and, she put him in his place when he tried to get in front of the Swedish female riders at a checkpoint one time. One of those people that works their arse off for the Riders / Sport, over many years. We couldn't do it without them!

Meo's now a Ducati Ambassador / Test rider, and, apparently he'll be doing some on-board footage of some tests / route, for this. He's one of the original Berserkers of Enduro!

They'll have the final test of each day live, and, End Of Day show / reportage, too.

One thing I never really cottoned onto, is that riders in the Parc Ferme, cannot turn their bikes around and head back to their pits, say, if they forget something. They have to push the bikes back,  in Reverse. Turn it around, and push it Forward, and you are likely to be penalized. I've been in a few Parc Fermes, and never picked up on that.

Good stuff!

Is the price to watch on the FIM site a daily price or cover the whole event.

They put up ( most of ) the videos within few hours, so, unless you are a Noodle like me, who wants to watch live, you can watch it for free, I think.

I'll fork out less than $20 AUD for the privilege / my silliness of wanting to watch it as it happens. I'm a goose with things like that!

I think it will cost damned near $700 to watch the GPs/ MXDN and the US Season(s) in '27.

Bloody Hell, if riders haven't got near on a new airfilter waiting at each check point, they might be in deep s**t!

It's Dust City, boys and girls.

They might be praying for a bit of rain, or some breeze to minimize  the Old 'Ride By Braille method, something most of us Ozzies are familiar with, but ( at least I ), hate.

Jaime Solers video of today's Dust Bunny special test(s), finished up with a near swarm of purple plated Women riders, waiting for their turn at unsighted lunacy!

Oh well, it's 6am, I'm off to herd a bunch of Baby Engineers at Uni today. Ratbags, the lot of them!

As much as I love Snowshoe It just wouldn't work.

While they have a ton of land it would be an insane amount of work to make enough trails to produce even close to a couple hundred miles of trails, there is a reason why a lot of the six days are field sections you can get a lot of mileage with minimal work using ribbon and stakes.

Remember The Wisp in McHenry, MD? That was my favorite GNCC ever and it was absolutely beautiful there. I wonder why they stopped racing there.

incorporating the half pipe was a fun obstacle

I think they outgrew it, if I remember correctly Wisp parking was very limited.  Now they are damn near out growing Snowshoe.

I remember parking in the paved lot near the condo’s. But now that you say that, I do remember some people having to park kinda far away in a different field. Beautiful facility though, and the track was a blast.

Meo : " It's Very Froggy, ( he said / says it, not Me!) and there's a Lot of Tension out there".

A Lot of ' jockeying,' for starts at Specials, or even Route starts, due to the dust.

Malin ( does he ever not do comentary?,) and Meo make a Great Team, and the 'end of day' show from the Fish Bowl, was great, with various Rider interviews -  Brandi from the US. And Rosie from Blightie featuring. Brandi looks like a Brit, Rosie looks like a ' Cali Girl' . Both really good interviewee's.

Me, I'm having a right Sook  😪  - it appears our Trophy Team has already lost a rider - Bugger, Bugger, BUGGER! I hope he's OK, they said it was a Big One.

I raced at the last Wisp event in 2006. Such a fun course even though it was a mudder. Something about the soil there? I had at least 3/4 rear pads left and it ate every bit of material off by lap 3.  Went from 1st to 8th on the final lap and skied along side my bike through the finish because it was the only braking power I had lol.

Haha. I think I missed 2006. I raced 2005 and 2004. I won my class in 2004 and was winning by a very nice bit in 2005, but ran out of gas right at mile marker 8 on the last lap. I think I still took 2nd in my class because only 2 of us were on the lead lap with the pro’s. Thad Duvall and I were in quite the battle on the last lap, passing each other back and fourth a bunch. We were in different classes, but the battle was still a lot of fun.
