laid back non professional team will kill hansens career more than it is now. he looks super smooth on the bike but he just looks like he is going slow real slow on the track. i think its a bad move for hansen to go there.

it you dont win or race both series then your lazy, retired or washed up. didnt he get into a fist fight with Grant? Pretty sure trouble just finds him and the h and h team will find more trouble for him. i saw their rig at A1 and well seriously their were some real weird groupie types probably more into the scene than the racing aspect of SX.

Josh comes from a father who was a champion. 82 SX champ for Honda back in the day. Donny Hansen his father was a great rider back then. He had an accident and he left MX. So along comes Josh. Good kid, fast. He earned his way to a spot with FMF then upgraded to KTM. The up grade was for a lot of money. Over a million in three years. Soon as he got that contract he sat on his backside. KTM signed the Alessi brothers for pittance and they had more of a show. He would show up to the races in an outlandish car and to the exterior he looked like he wasn't trying very hard. He has the ability to podium but only showed that a few times.

So the people that have it hard on Hansen, feel that once he got paid he never performed. He has been trying to shake that ever since.

i think most people will agree hansen has talent (maybe not as much as his dad t hough), but what he does lacks seems to be drive. now im not saying injuries wont take the drive out of a guy but alot of folks think that since he didnt perform up to expectations he doesnt deserve a ride or that someone else who gives 200% deserves a ride MORE....

Actually his dad who had a bad accident and suffered a brain trauma and had to retire from racing still has a Riders School which is based in Colorado but does schools all over the US. And BTY another motorcycle legend is his grandfather, Preston Petty.

Donnie got better from his injury. He is now a very good MX teacher and coach.
The Hansen family has been through a ton. That said, Josh is pretty well adjusted for what he was delt.

Josh is talented, he just needs to grow into it.

Sat behind Donnie Holeshot Hansen earlier this season, with Lackey and their wives.

Holeshot and Lackey looked great and had a great time, drank a few brews and were told to behave by their wives more than a few times.......usually when the 30 second card came out.

Unfortunatly Josh was not racing as he was hurt that round.......but the whole crew seemed pretty normal to me. Not a bad night out for a few 50 year olds in my guess.......

Josh Hansen will have a great and surprise ride one day soon......maybe not the podium but a STFU type of ride........a 5th in the big boy's is a STFU ride for anyone.

It's funny, because Hansen is a guy who can just show up and go really fast, and it just irks people. Yeah, he should put more into it, but it's his life and he doesn't have to answer to anyone about it. JGR signed him knowing his pros and cons and fired him because he didn't change. So OK. Fine. But he's just a kid having fun racing, let him be.

It's not fair that some guys can go fast with no effort and others have to work hard at it. It's not fair that Josh Hansen usually has a better ride than Jason Thomas. But guess what - life's not fair. And at the end of their careers, guess which one of those guys is going to be satisfied that he did everything he could and he gave what he had, and he can be comfortable with that? And guess which one is going to have a lot of regrets? But they're Hansen's regrets and he doesn't owe anyone anything.

If you never met him before you couldnt tell, but his walk and his speech is a little off. He is still a great guy.
