That's more like it right now with worst result off
Hey now, Levi was pressuring McClelland, I think that's pretty freakin' good for his first GP track experience. Had a bad roll of the dice after, but he was looking about as good as you could expect.
Cursed holeshot. Both riders who got it so far have DNF'd
When they show the current team standings on the broadcast they should take away the dropped score. I realize the dropped score could change but it isn’t a true reflection of current standings when you include a score that will be dropped.

If ever there was a time for Moosdijk to put in a career ride it's this next race. He needs to do a Markus Schiffer 2012 ride.
105,000 fans @$136 a ticket. 14.28 million dollars. I think they should at least be able to pay to get the riders and bikes there.
Need a really good start from juju here
Yeah RvdM and Garcia are both paging guru Schiffer for his MXoN wisdom otherwise Belgium wins it and i will be forced to eat crow for not believing in Lucas being ready.
I mostly agree with you, and I think there should at least be some purse money, but it's also hard to feel empathetic for multi millionaire Deegan and his highly funded team when just about everyone else out there, including Cooper Webb, is there for the love of the game and the opportunity to represent their country
Sir i'm gonna need you to deposit your metal bullshitta crybaby at the gate. Thank you. Enjoy your show.
It’s too bad he didn’t have more time to dial in the bike. Have to remember he destroyed his back a year ago.
I'm still not convinced Lucas is healthy enough to give it all this next race. Could definitely be proven wrong here though.
The atmosphere and hype today also disproves Matthes' point about needing a competitive team USA. This has been an all timer MXoN, the US team has been easy to get behind, and the atmosphere has been unmatched as always in France, even without the Lawrences, de Wulf, Deegan, Sexton, Shimoda, Roczen, Tomac, etc etc
MXoN in Europe just hits different, no matter how many star riders sit out
Current Team Standings (Top 10 w/ drop):
1-Spain (11)
2-Belgium (14)
3-Netherlands (19)
4-Italy (25)
5-Latvia (28)
6-USA (30)
7-Switzerland (43)
8-South Africa (47)
9-GB (49)
10-France (50)
I don't even like deegan and this point doesn't have to do solely with him by any means. You have teams asking for money online to get their bikes and crew to the race and the promotors and pocketing a ton of cash. Forget deegan, but team Canada, Mexico etc would sure have an easier life if they even got like 20k per rider just to cover some costs.
I really hope they give Beaton the better gate for next race. Not because it's the better strategy, (unsure whether it is) but because I really want to see what he can do against the Euros if he can start with or around them.
Webb final year in MX. Podiums final round at Ironman. Switching teams when he gets the call to fill in. First Team race gets 6th. At any point he could’ve sat this one out but didn’t. When he looks back at his career this has to be one of those moments when he knows he gave all.
Good jump by the riders with the second gate pick in the last moto will be vital.
Tactics of who goes where will be interesting.
Pit Row
Was never a Webb fan but he's slowly won me over the last few years.
That’s funny because I’m not even a Deegan fan. Not even close. I said pay to get the bikes and riders there, not pay them a start fee. Go ahead and look at my post history and you’ll see I don’t care for the kid. What I said is a valid point. That’s a lot of money to be bringing in and teams are footing the bill. Hell even WSX pays the teams.
It's ridiculous how InFront is absolutely rinsing everyone at this event. If I were in a racer's position I would almost want to boycott it on principle. Putting myself in their shoes, I would be fine to do it as a thank you to the fans, but the fact InFront is rinsing them of cash, the teams of cash, and no one at all is getting paid (anything substantial) is super scummy. InFront market it and push the narrative that you have to "do it for your country" when they couldn't care less and they really want you to do it to line their pockets.
Yeah, it’s more of a national shame if we don’t send a team. It doesn’t marginalize the race; I’m watching regardless not a bandwagon “I’ll only watch if we win” fan.
Notice how those teams still make it work though, and don't bitch and moan about the opportunity to represent their country at the best race of the year?
Fair point. My bad.
Me too, he's got character.
Same here, i have never been a Webb guy but i am now. The man is a legend.
The paddock reporter is funny.
They're making bank, but if you think there's 105k there - you're high as a kite!
I’m sure I’ll jinx it, but it’s amazing how enjoyable a race thread is when there isn’t a Deegan or Lawrence on the gate. Just a group of lads who enjoy the sport and not just a rider. Cheers to hopefully a safe and exciting race 3.
For what it's worth, if money really was the issue, I'm sure the team from the richest country on earth which is also managed by the guy promoting SMX could pretty easily raise funds throughout the year from fans and/or merch sales. Instead of waiting until ironman and then panicking
Again, I agree infront could do more, but let's not pretend freaking Team USA is short on cash and has no way of possibly raising 20k per bike across the 30+ rounds of the 'supermotocross world championship and playoffs'
