I think he can win a race if he gets a good start and doesnt slide out in a corner.

He could, yes. But it's in his blood that the only consistency is crashing!

sure he can, he's shown the speed IMO.

He has speed but he looks uncomfortable on the bike, Kinda like a teenager that grew 6 inches over the summer.

I feel bad for him, coming up in the shadow of 7, and the whole moto community scrutinizing him. I think if can get comfortable he will podium.

The same things could be said about James.

The difference is James is already one of the top five winningest riders of all time.

True, but with regard to this season, I think you could say the same things about both riders at this point.

imo... hes 6 inches taller and probably 30 to 50 pounds heavier than everyone in the class on a bike that is very probably down 5 to 7 hp and still hauling ass. JS7's shadow my ass, mookie, imo, is making his own presense known.

He won't beat any of the top 5 straight up (Baggett, Barcia, Wilson, Sipes, or Wharton).

I think he has Wharton and Sipes beat... The other 3, im not so sure.

But then again when Wilson was coming through the pack and got to Malcolm, he couldnt pass him...

He suprised me by getting a support ride without a stellar amateur career!

I think he will be hitting his prime just as james has peaked and is in the downfall. He has shown the speed to win, just can't stay up.

So you're saying that the mx/sx community as a whole, in some way or another, views him as Malcom Stewart, not Malcom Stewart the little brother of James Bubba Stewart? If so, you're wrong. I never said it was fair or that he can't make it on his own merits but he will always be JS7's lil bro.

That's what it looked like to me at Daytona. He didn't appear to have the pace.

Who knows? Maybe if he gets a start and doesn't crash, he can latch on to the pace.

Good question in more ways than one. I would venture to say yes on all counts.

I said this before. I don't know why he is on a 250. He is too big for one. I read somewhere that said he was 160 pounds. Yeah right. Judging by seeing him in Atlanta, I would say 180-190.

I have been thinking the same thing. If he can scale his ass back he might be something to reckon with.

I for one think he can as long as he has the endurance.
