Needs a minneapolis date.

The last handful of SX races in Minneapolis have been tough.  Maybe 50% of seats sold. I guess that would equate to 25-30k people however, which an outdoor race can attract up to  20-25k.

Hmm 🤔 let me see if I can find pictures in my phone

Fair.  I guess I didn’t realize how empty it was.  This was maybe 2017 or 18

Daytona and Tampa otherwise nothing in the southeast is pretty disappointing. Most of the industry lives in Carolina through northern Florida now but no Nashville, Birmingham, Atlanta, Charlotte, etc. Only indy for the Midwest. Little over 18,000 miles start to finish. 11 weeks in a row before they get to an off week seems brutal as well. Does Feld expect any rider to make all 31 rounds? Or are they trying to get riders to drop outdoors?

I often wonder how last minute they put these smx rounds together. Four years deep and they still are tba.  Come on now, we can do better.

Can we do away with the SMX horseshit and add some rounds to cities that deserve it?

I am going to guess the loss of anything in the SE is due to Feld keeping Monster Jam in synch.  The thing is, Birmingham and Nashville always sell out, it has to be something else to pull them from the schedule like Monster Jam driving that change.

Lame.

Orioles have a home game same day as SX. Parking should be interesting.

I live in Nashville and am bummed there's nothing relatively close. This may be the first year in 5 or so years that I miss an in-person round. I'm hoping no Nashville this year is simply due to timing of demolition starting on the old stadium and the new stadium opening and not related to Feld being priced out of the new stadium.

I am with you.  If it was not Nashville it was Birmingham which was just as good as Nashville. I am just confused because they eliminated venues that sell out, it makes no sense.

Maybe Nashville is getting a playoff round and that’s why it’s off the schedule. There were rumors of a broadway race. I think that would be tough to get enough viewing locations. But maybe a race in the new stadium.
