Anyone else tired of "Financiers" controlling the media everywhere? I know I am.

Said "Financiers" almost all have something in common besides greed...and they LOVE controlling the narrative so they always look like the victim and never the cause.

Even Vital is guilty of it. My posts get moved to the bottom of every single page I post on. Can't be a coincidence that most of my posts make the bottom of a page. 🤣

I'm guessing these fees will kill a lot of the privateer YouTube vlogs.

Privateers trying to get as much exposure as possible for the guys that help them go racing, nope, we can't have that. 🙄

For the factory teams/riders it's just another expense/write off. Sucks, but they have deeper pockets. IMO, it's still not right.

Quick AI analysis on justifying the cost of $2500 per minute for commercial use. That's a pretty wide spread between 83K and 2.5M views. I'm trying to figure how Feld came up with these numbers that would benefit the creator and/or only them?

"To justify a $2,500 per minute licensing fee for music, footage, or assets on YouTube, the video utilizing that minute of content needs between 83,000 views and 2.5 million views to break even on the fee alone."

Moto media has always been a joke, this just makes it worse.

Every major sport has similar restrictions.  One minute you guys want to be like moto GP until your neighbors brothers friend with an iPhone can't post video from a privateer and then allowing sponsors to use the footage.

Good luck policing streaming from the stands as the camera tech advances in eyewear like the Meta Glasses.

Moto GP:

Dorna/MotoGP controls MotoGP’s commercial and broadcast rights under its long-term agreement with the FIM.

A standard media credential usually does not give you the right to:

  • Livestream track activity
  • Post extended footage of practice, qualifying or races
  • Film continuously from trackside
  • Produce your own race broadcast
  • Monetize race-action compilations
  • License race footage to another company
  • Use onboard screens or TV-feed footage
  • Record in restricted garages or technical areas without approval

Short interviews, paddock atmosphere and behind-the-scenes content may be permitted, but the current credential agreement may impose clip lengths, locations, posting delays or platform restrictions.

If you are filming content for a sponsor, company, team, product or branded social campaign, MotoGP may classify it as commercial content—even if it looks like an ordinary Instagram Reel. That usually requires prior written approval and potentially a negotiated rights fee.

For example, if you posted paddock interviews and event-atmosphere photos as genuine coverage, that might be approvable. If another Brand or sponsor or another partner then used those images in an advertisement, that would likely require separate commercial permission. The safe move is to describe every planned use....including sponsor reposting and monetization.....in the application and obtain it in writing.

If something violates the agreement, they can:

  1. Demand removal or editing.
  2. File a platform copyright claim or takedown.
  3. Revoke the credential during the event.
  4. Deny the photographer, publication or company future credentials.
  5. Pursue licensing fees or legal action for serious commercial misuse.

Restrictions are fine when they're justified/reasonable.

You don't think there's a problem with this:

SMX/SX/MX is nowhere near close to being at the level of F1, MotoGP, NASCAR, ...

Dude is either a shill for FELD/MxSports, or raw dogging hard for a season credential. Only reason I can surmise one would go that hard in the paint for an entity that wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.

💯percent true and yet still epically hilarious.

Yeah I wasn’t shocked when he came in defending this. There is no action MXSports can do that he’s not 💯 behind, now he’s defending Feld just as strongly

No money in the nationals, that why they want more SX and less MX

Burkeen has a media pass and full on track access.

If he were to shoot from the fences and upload his footage to YouTube or other major platforms, the promoters would content strike his videos and have them taken down.

Does that also apply to fans who bought a ticket and also brought their camera to a race indoors and out? Also do you know the camera rules for the venue this weekend? I've looked up the info and have been getting mixed signals. I usually get into Angel Stadium just fine with my Canon Rebel XS, and my 55-200mm lens. Thanks!

$15-$25 million is his estimated net worth.

Compared to the net worth of the average moto family that's chased the "Loretta's Dream" for 8-10 years that IS a billionaire.😂

Before we all declare the sky is falling, can anyone here explain exactly what the impacts are going to be for ‘27?

Apparently Pit Bits will be fine.
Will the post race Weege show still happen?

What about post race interviews (Vital and PulpMX)?
What will be lost in this? Will anything be gained?

I don’t see this making my racing experience better, but I don’t know that yet.

Seems like the small guys who put out great content like Burkeen, or Bryton Carroll will be impacted the most. That would suck because I love their channels.
