Do they mail you the wristbands or do you pick them up at the track? Sorry first time doing this
Scan your tickets at the entrance (either as a pdf or printed out), there you will receive your wristbands.
Thank you
I have been to the last 3 USA MXON races with buddies in my motorhome. This year I was finally able to talk my wife into a trip to France.... As a compromise i told her we would only go to the race on Sunday with the rest of the 10 day trip then doing Normandy D Day stuff and Paris. With that said, we arrive in Rennes on Friday around 3:00 pm via train from Paris and pick up rental car there. We are only buying Sunday tickets, but am thinking we could probably make it to Ernee in rental car by about 4:30 pm on Friday. I can tell my wife Ernee is on the way to our motel and that we might as well just stop in to view some Friday festivities for an hour or two before going to our motel.
Anyone know how late festivities or the parade last on Friday? Is a ticket needed for Friday? (they don't list one for sale for just Friday)

I was at the 2005, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 14, 15 MXoN. Budds 2007 was cool, not exactly as a euro MXoN but really good.
2010 Thunder Valley was like a funeral, really sad.
Enjoy your Euro Ernée MXoN, if you feel it was different, please let us know! And do go the saturday also! Great qualifying day!
Do you stay at the camping site!?
Rennes is about 45–60 min from ernee if your staying Rennes you didn’t say where your hotel is
The Friday parade doesn’t happen .the day will end by 6;00
No tickets for Friday only the Saturday and Sunday
We are staying this time in Laval
Dude, you are going all the way to France, huge mistake to not go to the Saturday qualifying races! Have the wife drop you at the track Saturday AM, trust me, just do it. She can find something to do in any number of towns nearby, lol
I like your style!
Absofugginlutely!
To go that far, and Not get the 2 main days in?
We are staying about 45 minutes north of Ernee as we are going to Mont Saint Michel on Saturday. Race on Sunday then Utah beach Monday. Omaha beach Tuesday. Then onto Paris for a couple days.
This trip is our 30th wedding anniversary. Me getting to go to the race for a day is a bonus.
Mt St-Michel on a saturday or sunday is a reaaaaally bad idea. Ernée is usually overcrowded, Mt St-Michel is even worse.
I got my stay sorted today, just a little hut outside fougiers or something like that, it is about 55km from the track so i will be driving back and forth a couple of times during the weekend.
We are doing very simulator itnary just the week before.what RACING had said about mount Micheal will be true .if you plan on anything in Paris for tours a reservation is required for everything. We found out the expensive way for a tour of the Eiffel Tower when we there in ‘23
Congratulations on the 30 year ..
Have a wonderful time in Paris the train/rail system is really cheap and easy to get around if you buy a 7 day pass. Tap in tap out.i think ours cost 70 euro for both of us for the week.
A few pics from 2023 MXDN in ernee and Paris sites.
Thanks for the responses guys... Nice pics Westcoast Mariner.
My wife (62 yrs old) hates MX. I still vet raced a bit and broke some bones when we first got married and she worries I will start vet racing again (will Loretta Lynns have a 60+ class someday?😄). When I have gone with buddies to both RedBud MXON races and last years MXON race at Ironman we arrived on Thursday night and camped/partied thru the whole weekend. This year will be MUCH different dragging the wife into this packed event. Instead of being excited to go, I am somewhat dreading what will be a very long day with a wife who is likely gonna be pissed off the entire day. At least my expectations are not high this year for Team USA as we are not sending our best. Will do my best to just soak up the atmosphere and try to be happy that I get a day there.
I have done quite a bit of research/planning on site-seeing for this trip and do realize that Mt St Michel will be busy on Saturdays although it will be a little better than if it was summer peak vacation time. We will likely head there early in the morning on Saturday and if it gets too busy we will head back to our hotel and rest as we will be tired from traveling along with the time change anyway.
All that said, we are doing it... 😄 (fingers crossed for an unlikely USA podium 🤞)
Any advice on where at the track to watch from that would be close to the restrooms and maybe not as many chainsaw weilding fun lovers? Do people bring folding chairs into the track or is it pretty much standing on the grass only? Pictures I have seen of past Ernee events look like mainly one steep hillside that it totally packed unlike Redbud or Ironman where there were several various spots to watch from.
You could always tell her there has been an issue with her passport and take me along instead.
That would end in divorce Andy! 😄
Probably for both of us! 😂
🤣

WARNING - Honestly, so you know and can find the best way to save your marriage, lol: MXDN in Ernée is definitely NOT the place I'd take someone who's not very passionate about MX. It's rather small for such an event, it's very packed, very noisy, you barely can move, even going to pee is a challenge, then finding your loved one again is another one... Both of you would have a way better day if you found her something nice to do on her own on sunday, spa, winetasting, castle visit, museum, whatever.
Ernée's facilty and ultra loud and compact crowd are really for gritty fans who don't give a f**k about comfort -unless if you bought yourself the ultra VIP package.
At the very least, tell/show her what she's about to face so she can get mentally prepared... It's pretty hardcore.
Oh, and I'd forget about chairs: get ready to sit/stand in the grass on the downhill. There are a few other places where you can go, like atop the other side of the valley, for instance, but they're mostly places where you see way less of what's happening on track.
Great info regarding the chairs and hillside... It is kind of what I expected after seeing pictures and watching the last Ernee race on TV. I am fairly certain I won't be able to ditch her for the day. She is already nervous about her first trip being in a foreign country. While I thrived in the atmosphere at the USA MXON's, she is gonna hate it. Oh well... Thanks for the info!
I'd advice a folded beach towel she can sit on, for instance. And good ear plugs for her too...
Bon courage, les amis! 😉
Merci beaucoup!
For those that have been to the MXDN at Ernee before, what can be expected if arriving at the town of Ernee by rental car around 8-9am on the day of the race? I'm already prepared to take an L for local traffic jams and waiting a few hours to get parked and walk up to the entrance, ... but has it ever been known to be worse than that? Meaning ... a chance of not even getting close to accessing the parking areas and therefore missing some or all of the race?
Two words: arrive earlier.
The gates of the track open at 7am if I'm not mistaken. Some people are sitting on their preferred spots even way before sunrise, just to be sure they can sit on the spot they want.
B-final starts around 10am, so arriving at 8-9 is... well, optimistic 😄
I am planning on leaving our hotel 40 minutes north of Ernee by 6:00am Sunday morning. I am guessing I will hit a line of cars waiting to get in even leaving that early. My patience is surely going to be tested.😀
What will be the podium?
1- Latvia
2- Netherlands
3- Spain
It can always change, but honestly, traffic/parking management has been rather good at Ernée for such a huge event. Still, you won't be alone, lol, and the earlier the better. And of course, going in is easier that leaving at the end of the day...
Let alone your wife telling you "Your stupid race already sucks!"...
😂
X100. Gotta go both days, Sat/Sun!
