This is a good post. I have followed this sport for years but what is the Jon Barfoot drug scandal about? I must of been on drugs because I remember nearly every other thing in this quote.
What about ryno v Doug Henry fight
Emig winning the U. S. Open
Nate Ramsey winning a 450 main

I say scandal, the poor guy got stoned! haha. From what I can remember he was it was just marihuana, can't remember if it was a urine sample or how he got caught but they really dragged him through the mud for it. Lost a load of sponsers etc. Was quite the scandal in TMX! haha

Someone needs to dig up that TV show eh and upload the bugger! Stephen Sword's mum must have a copy haha

Lights out at Vegas SX, Emig wins first SX class race, riders(incld McGrath) strike: all on the same night and I was there.

18 year old Rick Johnson dislocating his hip, right in front of me, at a make-shift St Louis National track.

Can't believe you left Carl Nunn's appearance on YouBet off the list!? Shocked Grinning

There are so many epic memories of Foxhills. The Malin - Tortelli battle obviously, also the huge crash in 91, Schmit crashing while leading Albertyn and not being able to restart his bike in... '93?. One of my favourites was Nunn's ride after losing his girlfriend in a car crash the previous year. That was incredible.

Couple of mine...
Watching Dave Thorpe at Farliegh in the 80's along with a blazing fast kid called Robbie Herring.
Supercross VHS's of Broc Glover, Rick Johnson, Jeff Ward, David Bailey etc when SX seemed like it was from another planet.
A Fox catalogue featuring some tiny, ginger haired kid named Ricky Carmichael on a kx60 at Washougal.
Guy Cooper's finish line cross ups.
Kurt Nicolls gate malfunction at Hawkstone that cost him the '92 500cc world title.
1991 Foxhill GP - blew my mind
1994 MXdN
Images/advertisments featuring Robbie Reynard frickin' everywhere when he burst onto the US scene.
My expectations of Carl Nunn starting his pro racing career at 15.
Malin & Tortelli battle at Foxhill in 96
Townley/Everts battles in 2005
The Everts/Stewart face off at 2006 MXdN - and my shared disappointment with 60,000 others that Carmichael wouldn't be racing - but also the noise and appreciation the fans showed for RC when he was introduced up on the tower before the first race. Made me proud.
Villopoto Budds Creek 2007 MXdN - incredible... but infuriating at the same time.
Watching S.Pourcel put it to Stewart at the 2008 MXdN, albeit only for half the race. (btw I don't dislike stewart, he just sets the benchmark).

Johnny O winning the 125 USGP @ Mid-Ohio on his Mugen Honda

Bob Hannah shocking my Marty Smith worshipping buddy (and just about every body else in attendance) by beating Smith at Red Bud at the 125 National (nobody really new who the hell he was yet). (76 or 77?)

Brad Lackey and Danny Laporte becoming the first Americans to win world titles.

Rick "The Lumberjack" Burgett winning the muddiest rainiest Red Bud National I can ever remember and Team Yamaha's squad sweeping all the titles that year (78?)

Watercooled bikes.

Unadilla Hill People doing what only the Unadilla hill people know how to do!

Watching tech inspection early one morning at the Unadilla GP and noticing a big scuff on Hannah's helmet (they weighed the bikes and evidently had to approve the helmets or something too) and later finding out that the scuff got there when Hannah was laying underneath a jacked up car that he was palying bumper cars with in a gravel pit and the car fell off the jack!

Watching/ listening to RC's Pro Circuit 125 go into overdrive as he came off the ski jump grabbed a gear and went straight up into the old apple orchard area when they used to do that at Red Bud

Watching Jeremy and Fro clicking up a gear and wheelying through the ruts at the bottom of the Red Bud ski jump hill and go up into the old apple orchard area

Watching RJ triple at Pontiac back before anybody did that stuff and then watching Guy Cooper doing it and whipping the bike for the crowd

Watching RJ stomp the field at the muddy 1987 Des Nations

Watching Rick Johnson get landed on at Gatorback by Danny Storbeck, which would result in a broken wrist than would ultimately turn out to be career ending.
