James did pull his clutch in and slam on his brakes just a moment later. I have the photos. I still can't figure out if he knew Reed was there or not, but he says he didn't know Reed was there. As a former racer, I don't know how that can be, but it's possible. James definitely got on the brakes once he knew he wasn't going to get around Chad, though, one way or the other.

You kooks have had several days reach decisions Reed and Stewart had less than a second to make. Get real.

Why has no one pointed out that if JS would have truly 'railed' the corner, Reed did leave the door open really high in the berm. JS could have gone there and not had any contact.
When Reed tried to pass in the same fashion earlier, JS just pinned it up against the tough blocks and rode past Reed. He could have done it again.

If that's truly the case and James wasn't seeing what was coming up, it's pretty clear that the two of them getting together wasn't Reed's fault.

Sheesh...watch where you're goin Bubba Smile

25 points on the line and if any of you that have ever raced and were in the same position, would have done the same thing.
The gate drops the bullshit stops. When did arguably the toughest sport known to man, become so politically correct?

If he truly did not see Reed, we should change his nickname from Bubba to Mr Ed because he must have had horse blinders on. J/K of course, but I don't buy that he didn't see him.

he knew reed was close, he just passed him 2 corners earlier. Stewart didnt
cover his line. Plain and simple. At any race I've ever been to, when the guy
up front knows a block pass is coming, he squares up the damn corner and
goes back under the guy. He had time to know Chad was there, but just didnt
give 2 shits about the outcome of the pass and pinned it.
if Stewart had any respect for Reed he would have protected the inside. I don't see much respect for any other riders from Stewart.

Come on....if ANYONE made this move on the first lap it would be DIRTY....on the last lap of an FIM sanctioned AMA Championship Supercross Race...it's just what the Dr. ordered. And that's all I have to say about that.

last lap 'I got it in the bag' brain fade by Bubba, he should have know this move was on and taken a tighter line to exit underneath Chad.

Reed would have had to come to a complete stop to make it around the corner. There was a pretty bold point to Reed's line.
