A few things crossed my mind during the moto.
1. Was Jett holding up after Deegan/Hunter incident to give his brother a fighting chance?
2. Did he aggravate his foot?
3. Similar to the week before, was he taking it easy around backmarkers early on to not open up risk?
I personally leaned towards a combo of 2 and 3 after watching him struggle with his balance in the early parts of the moto and his foot popping off the pegs under the braking zone by the mechanics area and over in the tree section almost every lap, as it appeared that he wasn't putting much weight on it.
With about three laps to go I hiked up from the podium area (where I normally am post each moto), and headed towards the Honda truck so I could see what happened when he came in.
Yes, a lot of the other photo/video guys, team crew, etc I passed during the moto were scratching their heads. All with variations of what I put above. Some thought he was holding up for Hunter, some thought he was hurt, some thought maybe bike, etc.
That's gold. We sent a few repeat topics to the dumbgeon. Only stuff that got deleted was racist or straight derogatory toward people.

He must have been intentionally trying to endo here also to help his brother lol.
Why are there so extremely strong reactions on the last race? Regardless of what Jett did, was, felt, not did... the Lawrences would have ended up 1-2 in the championship... again references F1, team orders letting your team mate by etc, no reporting to FBI or similar.
Does Jett have such strong support that people simply didn't want Hunter to win, really wanted Jett to have the championship OR is it betting/gambling? (I never done sports betting so don't know).
I just don't understand why people have such strong feelings. ... some YouTubers are like 'Biggest Scandal in Motorsport ever!!!' hahah, those Cooksies and Hoppers must not have seen much motorsport in their life...this was nothing compared to what goes on.
It is strange, but strong reactions seem to be the thing these days.
The Youtube thing is a little bit of a game of playing into the news story as much as it is reporting it. And trying to stand out. Hoppers take on it seemed rational and based in reality. While Cooksey just seems like anything that he can do to get back at or make the promoters look bad he's gonna go all in.
The guys on Youtube really playing it up, are doing it to grab attention and get You to watch. Some of them are doing it without any real substance to the videos other than some rage and clips of Jett going slow. And then some break it down and really explain why they think its as big of a deal as they are making it out to be. If they didn't hype it up, there is less of a chance that You would have watched the alternative video .
I just try and watch with that in the back of my mind. I've been studying marketing and Youtube techniques recently and I see them using the techniuqes that are said to work well for getting viewers. So some of it is just that, trying to build and audience. And getting that audience fired up and likeing or disliking and commenting, etc. its what helps them grow their channels and keep people's attention.
I was on vacation this last week and was hanging out in the kitchen with youtube playing ramdom mx videos. The kooksy guy came on and he was going on and on about the conspiricy crap and my wife was like, who the phuck this clown? And then he said he was going to report info to the FBI and my wife completely lost her shit. And she isn't a moto personson at all. She just heard this clown for the first time and is smart enough to know he is full of shit So, the question is, if she can figure this guy out in one minute, what does that say about the guys who actually fall for his bs? Fricken clown show!
The crazy thing is, if people are going to truly say that Jett didn't ride as hard as he should have, blah, blah, blah, then what happens to Davies for his anchor in the second moto? He could have easily won that with the speed he had that day, and when he started trail riding it could have cost people who placed bets (remember, this is who this is truly about....!) a pretty big sum of money.
Now to be clear, I DO NOT think that Davies should be penalized for putting around the last half of the second moto. But if someone is going to absolutely assert that Jett were deserving of being penalized for 'not riding his hardest', then you'd have to penalize Davies pretty big too. I'd actually say that Jett rode closer to his potential in the first moto than Davies did the second, but to say that anyone outside of Jett and his doctor truly can prove that he didn't try is simply absurd.
Also, Kooksey doesn't understand what the term 'straw man' means. His latest video proves that. He's an uneducated, mental midget who suffers from more Dunning-Kreuger than any 10 people combined would normally.

Many people will say well he rode better in moto 2. We all seen Jett go to Doc G as everyone says he got taped up. Plus, these racers legally can receive a Tordal shot for inflammation and pain. So Doc G probably wrapped that cooked ankle and drove a Toradol shot in that ankle or butt. This medicine works fast kinda. I get this shot 4 or 5 x per year, its magic for inflammation, muscle spasms, gout, stiff neck, and it’s not a PED. It’s basically a heavy duty Anti-Inflammatory like a Motrin. It’s not a pain med that gets you buzzed, it just fixes the issue and you stay clear minded.
Seems kinda optimistic girth-wise.
