OK guys, here is the overly simplistic truth of what president Trump is trying to achieve.

Do you remember the first out of country trip that Trump made when he got back in the White House? This was the start of what we are seeing now. The goal of those meetings was to get the middle east nations to not back Iran when the fighting started. This has been successful to this point. The objective is to destroy Iran and force regime change. End that tyranical, terror sponsoring nation forever. It is in the worlds best interest.

The next step will be getting the rest of the middle east nations to sign onto the Abraham accords that president Trump successfully negotiated during his first term. Recognizing Israel by the other middle east nations is the only path for real peace. Israel destroying Hamas and getting that terrorist organization out of Gaza was key.

The next question is when does the world recognize a Palestinian state? Only when all terrorist have been removed and they have established a stable government that does not have terror ties.

For all of you that hate Israel and the Jews, too bad.

Like I said, this is the simple explanation and doesn't cover every conceivable thing that can occur before the above scenario plays out.

But he cozies up to those adversaries who are bigly supporting Iran. Vlad Putin and Kim Un.

Ya, that's some epic foreign relationship and policy there.

“Diplomacy” is a word that does not exist in the world of dictators. Anyone who thinks Putin fears the US or Un “likes” them is delusional.  The respect Trumps gives tyrants while chastising our allies is not “4D chess”. It’s an inherent misunderstanding of global politics.

President Trump is navigating global politics like he should. It's unfortunate so many of our allies refuse to pay their fair share for their own national defense. Their defense is not our responsibility..

Working with WW2 era trade policies is selling America short. President Trump is finally addressing it.

Chastising democratic  "allies" that our values are supposed to be fairly closely aligned with for denying free speech to it's citizens? This is exactly what this administration should be doing.

Get use to it we'll have JD Vance for 8 years to follow president Trump. It's so enjoyable to watch the complete internal destruction of the democrat party. Go DSA!

Strange. I wonder why Biden didn't release the Epstein files? With everything the Clinton and Biden camp tried to do to destroy trump, if his name is all over the Epstein files seems like low hanging fruit for the dirty democrats. They could have buried him, right? Really strange.

I thought Iran's military was already reduced to a single guy throwing rocks after the last 50 times Trump 'obliterated' them? Hasn't it ended yet?

The true genius in your posts is that you have elements of truth which are entirely correct, while completely and utterly missing the point and undoing yourself with naive bollocks. Allow me to demonstrate...

  • "Do you remember the first out of country trip that Trump made when he got back in the White House? This was the start of what we are seeing now. The goal of those meetings was to get the middle east nations to not back Iran when the fighting started. This has been successful to this point. The objective is to destroy Iran and force regime change. End that tyranical, terror sponsoring nation forever. It is in the worlds best interest."

- Correct. However, what you've ended up doing is getting rid of the 'sensible' Iranian leadership and replacing it with hardliners who are quite happy to fight to the death taking their whole country with them, You haven't ended the terror-sponsoring side at all, you have, in fact, emboldened it to dig in like a tick and wait so it can start over. It was in the worlds interest, but we told you it couldn't be done from the air because it couldn't, and now you've damaged every single economy globally of anyone who was an ally of yours more than you've hurt your enemies... Slow hand clap.

  • "The next step will be getting the rest of the middle east nations to sign onto the Abraham accords that president Trump successfully negotiated during his first term. Recognizing Israel by the other middle east nations is the only path for real peace. Israel destroying Hamas and getting that terrorist organization out of Gaza was key."

- All true, right up to your last sentence. Most of the countries in the Middle-East were about to recognise Israel prior to Hamas attacking, that's precisely why the attack was launched (likely at the behest of Iran) was to stop that from happening. Now, getting Hamas out, no-one will argue that's a bad thing. However, what Israel have done to do that is to basically get everyone out of  Gaza and flatten it. Hardly the scalpel approach and it's created a significant problem probably for the next few hundred years.

  • "The next question is when does the world recognize a Palestinian state? Only when all terrorist have been removed and they have established a stable government that does not have terror ties."

- Er... Actually, most of the rest of the world has recognised the existence of a Palestinian state already, precisely becuase the Israelis refuse to do so and are hell-bent on illegally settling the West Bank, staying in Gaza and starting to slowly annexe Jerusalem.

  • "For all of you that hate Israel and the Jews, too bad."

- Fair. Most rational people don't hate Israel or jews though, they just think the current Israeli government is full of far-right headcases who have used this whole crisis to try and permanently kill any chance of a two-state solution and who proudly claim they want all Palestinians out of Israel including Gaza, the West Bank and everything else. There's no 'hate' there, just a dislike of politics and actions. The Israeli government is not Israel, or it's people, or it's religion.

  • "President Trump is navigating global politics like he should. It's unfortunate so many of our allies refuse to pay their fair share for their own national defense. Their defense is not our responsibility.."

Second part, absolutely true. Too many have scaled back defense for too long and not stepped up. No arguments. To add nuance, countries proritised citizens over defense when faced with a global economic crash and a major pandemic shock followed by the huge cost to citizens of Russia starting a war In Ukraine, but it was with hindsight the wrong decision. However, there's a way to get that sorted which is to bolster those economies, strengthening military sales and development and build capability. You don't achieve it by starting another war in an energy providing area and taking a dump on everyone's front lawn...

  • "Working with WW2 era trade policies is selling America short. President Trump is finally addressing it."

If you guys feel that way, it's your prerogative. There's plenty of diplomatic ways to address that which don't smack the shit out of working people in all the countries you feel so aggrieved by though. Including 'diplomacy' which you seem an advocate of...

  • "Chastising democratic  "allies" that our values are supposed to be fairly closely aligned with for denying free speech to it's citizens? This is exactly what this administration should be doing."

Bullshit. Firstly because your point is not what is happening (and you'd do well to educate yourself a bit on cultural differences), Free speech in the UK and Europe is not what it is in the US, it never has been and never will. If that's to change, it should be done through electoral and democratic processes on the choice of electorates in those countries. Put simply, just how Trump and Vance and whoever you elect to do whatever you'd like to do domestically is up to you, these are choices for us. Shut the fuck up and stay in your own lane, rather than trying to educate democracies that have existed from before the Vikings first landed on your shores how it's all supposed to work. It's none of your fucking business what we do domestically, just as your domestic choices aren't ours.

  • "Get use to it we'll have JD Vance for 8 years to follow president Trump. It's so enjoyable to watch the complete internal destruction of the democrat party. Go DSA!"

In line with my point above - Domestically, not my problem. God speed to him, you and whatever domestic agenda he sees fit to deliver. Globally, he'd be a clusterfuck. Already is.

Anyway, fun over, back to the shadows for me. Trying to debate things on here is a bit of a hiding to nothing and normally I know better. Thankfully, I have far more pressing shit to deal with including my end of year strip-down and regrease of all the bearings and moving bits on my 450 plus F1 practice starts soon.

At least Gantry25 is replying with some semblance of an argument versus memes and name-calling. And I largely agree with 90% of his stated goals. We just disagree on Trump’s methodology.

The article is an Israeli fantasy.

Congressional recognition of Iranian minority independence would not achieve anything within Iran.

If 750 thousand to 1.5 million American troops were sent to Iran, 50-70% would be fatalities, Iran has 2 years compulsory military service for 18 year olds and a total population of $90 million, a large percentage of them would fight, they have been preparing for this for 47 years.

China would not withdraw support for Iran, the US has no leverage over China.

No campaign has ever resulted in casualty rates that extreme. The Civil War probably was closest but not even the most violent war generates those returns.

Not sure if Israel backs this proposal or not but certainly a US invasion is fantasy no matter how many troops we have or how we get them. At least I hope it is. But, as me and many others stated long ago, it's the only way that the US and Israel can check all the boxes here.

Two things.

I’d add that you won’t get your allies to spend more on their defence by hurting their economies with tariffs.

And secondly, you really think that the UK doesn’t have free speech?

Strange. I wonder why Biden didn't release the Epstein files? With everything the Clinton and Biden camp tried to do to destroy trump, if his name is all over the Epstein files seems like low hanging fruit for the dirty democrats. They could have buried him, right? Really strange.

"They followed historical precedents" Two of the most corrupt presidents and weaponized DOJ's of all time. A those court cases that President Trump fought just after he made it clear he may run again were just coincidence. I must say the funniest one was when they found classified documents in Biden's garage but refused to prosecute. This was after the FBI did a full raid on Mar-a-logo and brought federal charges against Trump for classified documents. This is really funny the excuses the left makes trying to justify the actions of the corrupt democrats.

Really enjoying the implosion of the democrat party after being the "big tent". You welcomed the DSA in along with all their ridiculous ideas. You reap what you sow. GO DSA!
