JS7 & CR22.......DV12 & Kdub

Phoenix 2004, we had some racing by #12 and #14 similar to last nights grudge match. Villy block passed Kdub kind of aggressively, and in the next corner, Kdub did a move VERY similar to CR22's. Looked more like a harpooning than a block pass (whatever it was ALL of us fans were standing a cheering more than I have seen in recent years)

The AMA saw it as aggressive riding and docked Kdub 10 points. After watching the race last night, how many of you think that if JS7 nailed his brakes, Reedy would have went over the berm? He was headed for the seats before JS saved him by blocking the way with his bike! LMAO!!!!

BTW, EXCELLENT RACING last night. I didn't care WHO won (7 or 22) , it was epic racing for more than 1 or 2 laps. How many times can you say that this past decade?

Hilarious how RV just hangs back til they took each other out. It was like the kid who is watching a fight and sees one of them drop money on the floor during the fight and he just strolls over and picks it up!! Dumb fucking luck. Keep that rabbit foot up your ass RV, it worked last night!

Actually, they were pretty much the same move, except KW was able to execute it and stay on two wheels.

Reed was riding at a 90 degree angle to the direction of the track with no intention whatsoever of making the turn at all. This pass has been standard issue for decades in SX and AX. As a matter of fact this shit happens at least a couple times every weekend in the back of the pack and during LCQs. So Reed should suddenly be punished just because it was the last lap and for the lead? Some people need a little perspective on this sport they claim to be a fan of and supposedly watch.

I didn't actually mean that Reed should be penalized, I meant that everyone made a huge deal out of Windham's deal with DV, and in that case Windham actually made the turn and kept on going - in the case last night, Reed had no way of making the turn at all, it was a pure move to knock Stewart down and that's all. But as I said before, it's the last lap and he wants to win - a dumb move but you have to take the race situation into account.

Exactly, and when the KW/DV incident happened, everyone lit up about how it was a "dirty move" by KW (among other colorful phrasings), but now it's acceptable.

Whoever the moron that said this happens a couple times a race is nuts!! If happens at least 2 times a weekend, why are we going all the way back to 2004 and the KW/DV for reference as the same kind of takeout move? I haven't seen a top 5 rider make this move since 2004. Not sure what races he has been watching!! Look at the 6 picture sequence thread. Reed is 4 feet from the tough blocks facing 9pm when he should be facing 12pm and he hasn't even BEGUN to turn his front wheel whatsoever! Of James hadn't hit Reed, the front row would have been 1st in line for post race autographs from Reed!!

And if the AMA doesn't even at least hand down a warning, then we have another idiot as president of the AMA just sitting on his ass doing nothing as usual!

Seriously, whoever thinks Reed would've gone off the berm had he not got into Stewart, go watch the video at least 10 more times... Reed would have still made the turn.

So from this photo you feel he doesn't have enough angle or track to finish making his turn? Reed was damn near stopped at the point of collision, he could pivot that bike easy. The aim is to make Stewart stop high in the berm and race him down the whoop section in damn near slow motion. Of course in some cases the guy taking the high line sees you, and in some he doesn't.
