I dont even get why kitchen would be soooo bummed that he cant even line up. He really wasnt even in this championship at all until he got a lucky break when davies teammate dnf’d him. After that it went back to how it had been all season. Its not like kitchen had been having a great season and then just got unlucky right at the last race and blew it. He honestly shouldnt have even been in it, especially with how all over the place his season has been. He just got a lucky break in the middle and didnt capitalize on it at all. In fact kitchen had lead the least laps of all time for a person with the red plate at that point in the season. This championship was never his. The fact that he got the red plate at all at one point hid how bad of a season he actually had.

Watch the start, he shuts off so soon and puts around the first turn.
