I have a 1986 YZ 490. Headed to race in a month. I need a number plate and side panel set in yellow with black numbers. I can't find anything, except a few sets from Australia that have an Aussie flag across the top. I'm open to even getting a generic blank yellow set and cutting the contours myself, and adding numbers later. I tried SKDA, DecalWorks, and a few others. They don't seem to like the vintage stuff much lol.yz490 0

I looked at his stuff. He has a bunch of stock decals that are a full red background for the front plate and a red outline for the side panels. I'm looking for yellow decals just like what is on the bike, but obviously blank so I can add my number instead of 176.

Check out FastlaneMX on Facebook. He does a ton of vintage bikes. I got backgrounds from him for my 79 and 80 cr250s. Great quality and quick turnaround

I use EVO MX for a lot of my builds,  86 YZ250, 88 Cagiva 250 WMX, 81 YZ465, etc.  I used their gripper seat covers too.  It looks stock but grips way better than normal vinal.  I got 4 years of racing out of my Tecnosel seat cover on the 86 YZ, shame they can't sell them any more.

I've used both and prefer EvoMX, little bit better quality and thicker material.

Now all you need for that project is my 88 cartridge forks with race tech gold valves and Honda rebound pistons.  There sprung for 200lbs and the best forks kyb made in 43mm.  72 2

I'll be racing at Zoar Valley at the end of September. There's no jumps, it's an old school 70's track. I don't even know what the suspension on the bike feels like. It's likely modded as the rest of the bike has some work done to it.

I used 'Yamatopdog' on ebay for these '87 decals on my '89.  I think they are bigger than OEM but I don't mind, as they help cover up the ugly browned tank.

And the '88+ cartridge forks can be made to work incredibly well.  I'm shocked.

I've been using Evo-mx (UK) and Vmx-service (NL) stuff for many years, and I'm delighted ✌️
